"I've had the opportunity to hire Issa for several jobs. He did expert electrical and plumbing work for us. He is very professional and listens to his customers' concerns. He goes way above and beyond the call of duty. For example, during the big freeze, he went to Texas City a couple of times to get parts for repairing the plumbing, as there was a scarcity here in Clear Lake. He fixed several electrical problems on the spot, as we just moved into this house and weird things were happening with our outlets and lights. At one point he saved us over $500 on a job estimated by other plumbers to involve major sheetrock cutting and plumbing replacement (bathroom drain pipe), which in fact could be fixed with some plumber's paste, as he correctly saw where the leak was coming from. (It wasn't a faulty pipe like everybody else thought, but it was leaking around the drain flange). Today he fixed the overhead fan which threatened to fall out. Issa is very courteous and always there when one needs him. I am an engineer and feel totally comfortable with Issa doing these types of jobs, one can tell he has vast experience. His charges are very reasonable and significantly lower than my experience with other professionals -- not only are they reasonable, but you may save additional money as he sees ways to fix things that others may not, as was the case with the above example with a leak in our bathroom. In any case, it is clear that his overriding philosophy is to exceed customer's expectations in every job."

"Did a very good job laying a pad for a small storage shed. He was here on time, even stayed very late one evening to complete job. I would recommend him to anyone. I am getting quotes to perform more work as he was very professional and timely."

"This is an engineered wall which is intended to preserve the clay pad upon which our home was constructed.  The home is on a downhill slope.  The contractor respected all manufacturer recommendations regarding installation.
The crew seemed seasoned, both in terms of the type of work, and also as a working team.  The management partners are hands on participants and spent every day on site.
The project included not only hardscaping, but also plumbing and electrical aspects.  The crew seemed comfortable performing the required tasks.
We found the guys to be pleasant to have around.  Given that the blocks weigh about 50 lbs each, the temperature was as high as 105, and the work surface challenging, the cheerful smiles were actually something of a miracle.
We had agreed generally on the wall design, but left many design decisions up to them.  We are very pleased with the aesthetics of the final product.  Their instincts are good.
Our greatest frustration was probably with regard to communication and scheduling, BUT this job was booked during the most rainy Spring on record, and the installation took place over a 2.5 week period when temps were above 100 every day.  That at
least partially explains the delayed start and the longer than expected execution.  At those temperatures, a break is required after about every 20 minutes of labor.
The above concerns are offset by the fact that because management is on-site, feedback is immediate and there are no communication problems during the project execution."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

You have several options for your pond by getting your yard ready for the winter. You can winterize your koi pond by ensuring it’s at least 5 feet deep so it doesn’t freeze completely, installing a pond heater or aerator and having it run at all times, and installing a deicer if temperatures are dangerously low for an extended period. You can also choose to shut down your pond for the winter by removing all the wildlife in it and bringing it indoors, cleaning out the filter and pump, and then covering the pond with a tarp.

Natural pools don’t necessarily attract snakes, although there is a chance they could stop by for a quick visit. They’re not likely to stay, however, because there’s nothing for snakes to eat in a natural pool environment. A well-maintained natural pool has clear water, so you should be able to easily spot a snake before diving in.

When deciding whether or not to turn off your pump, you should consider your area’s climate and the aquatic life in your pond. If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures and don’t have any wildlife, keeping your pump on could damage it. If you have aquatic life but live in a colder climate, you might consider keeping your pump running and adding a pond heater.

Whether a natural pool is worth it depends on several factors because they cost more than traditional pools. Many people opt for natural pools because they enjoy swimming in natural bodies of water such as lakes. Also, if you're environmentally conscious, a natural pool is going to be a much more attractive option than a traditional pool.

Moreover, for people with chemical sensitivities, a natural pool is a great solution since the water doesn’t contain chlorine.

Yes, it’s possible to DIY a plunge pool and shave labor costs off of the project total. If you’re considering a DIY build, keep in mind that you will be responsible for pool installation and landscaping (which may require excavation). This type of DIY project is best left to particularly handy homeowners who have prior pool installation experience.
