"Before August 12, 2024, Angi connected me with Rubio Landscape & Maintenance to install my sprinkler system. He asked for 3 payments and promised me it would be completed in 2 weeks. I paid him the initial deposit of 12,175 on 09/02/2025, 2nd payment of $,6087.50 on September 11, and the third and final payment when the job is completed. He has not completed the job, and he started calling me while I was on vacation, asking for money. He wants me to go to the bank to pay him before the job is completed. He was obnoxious and disrespectful. He is so impolite. No manners. He did not complete the job until Oct. 6, 2025. I found defects in the work, like the sump pump was not installed properly. The machine was loosely connected to the post. It was so loose it rattled when windy. I was afraid it was going to fall off and create a hazard. He would not fix it, so my handyman and I reinforced and put additional screws and bolted the pump."

"Slater Lawn has always been great about coming out any time we needed work done on our sprinkler system. We had one issue where the wires were pulled up out of a valve box and apparently not put back right. They were able to fix the issue quickly. Recently, a concrete company poured a slab and destroyed the pvc piping where they poured causing my system to leak under the slab. It has been a nightmare to deal with but Slater's guys have been great. They scheduled the appointment time, showed up when they were scheduled, did the work.. then came back when we realized there was a second leak. They work hard, fast and they get it done professionally and are always ALWAYS courteous. Its sad that they have to come fix what someone else broke."

"Stenson Landscaping did an outstanding job on a complicated project in my front yard. I was looking to have the following done: 1) repair all existing stone landscaping walls (which were in bad shape); 2) demo the old front walkway and pour a new one with a different pattern of stairs; 3) build stone retaining walls down the sides of the front walkway and across much of the front of the yard, and have those walls match the existing stonework; 4) fill behind the walls with gravel and filter fabric for drainage and fill dirt for planting; 5) update all irrigation to the new layout and ground level, including installing drip irrigation lines for future planter bowls. Stenson did an outstanding job at the project. They worked to detailed specifications and designs that I provided them, and were open to feedback and willing to make changes on the fly as needed. The stonemasonry in particular is outstanding - the walls are very solid, built with rebar and concrete footers, and really look incredible. The change in the look of my front yard is night and day. I'm thrilled with the outcome of the project and would absolutely hire them again."

Clint came out, replaced our controller/timer thingy with a Rainbird (it's awesome and connects to my phone, love it) and then started talking with me about our system. In all, we had 10 valves that needed replacing, several leaks and about 80% of our sprinkler heads were busted. There was some jumbly wiring going on as well. Clint was able to tell that the sprinkler system had been out-of-order for quite a bite longer than a year and was realistic with me about the likelihood of repairs in the future. However, he was extremely fair with his pricing for the amount of labor that he did and we are now up and running. It's a relief to have one more major project checked off our to-do list and I enjoyed working with Clint. He's helpful, communicative and fair. We will absolutely be calling him out again as needed."
