SLATER LAWN & GARDEN

Slater Lawn has always been great about coming out any time we needed work done on our sprinkler system. We had one issue where the wires were pulled up out of a valve box and apparently not put back right. They were able to fix the issue quickly. Recently, a concrete company poured a slab and destroyed the pvc piping where they poured causing my system to leak under the slab. It has been a nightmare to deal with but Slater's guys have been great. They scheduled the appointment time, showed up when they were scheduled, did the work.. then came back when we realized there was a second leak. They work hard, fast and they get it done professionally and are always ALWAYS courteous. Its sad that they have to come fix what someone else broke.

I've used Slater two times. No problems. I'm a satisfied customer.

He came out and did a tune up on our sprinkler system. We were pleased with the work!

Had a broken sprinkler pipe. Since it's spring time, they were swamped and said they could not arrive till the next week. Got a call early in the morning the next day saying they had an opening at 9:00 that morning if I wanted it. The two workers showed up at precisely 9 am (I think they may have been waiting in their truck for exactly 9 am. :-) ) After fixing the pipe in next to no time, they walked the yard and found 3 other heads that were either completely blocked due to the mud in the lines from the broke pipe, or were leaking. All told, parts, labor and service call, it was still about $30 less than I had allocated. VERY pleased and will use them every time I have a sprinkler issue.

They ran a little late, but when they did get here they did a fast and efficient job. We were overall pleased with their service and will use again next year.

Slater Lawn did quality work.  They scheduled the work around our schedule, were courteous and prompt. They replaced 3 rotors, 6 heads, 10 nipples and 10 nozzles.  Total parts cost was $136.  I give them an overall A for the service, but a B for price.  It was not clear who would pay for the parts for the minor repairs when I signed up for the Angie's List deal.  I am OK with paying for the parts, but it probably should be mentioned in the advertisement.  Another minor issue, the Angie's list deal is $85 for one-hour sprinkler system service call; $75 for each additional hour.  I was charged $85 each hour for 1.75 hours of work.  By my calculations I was overcharged $7.50 for the service per the deal.  That's not a big issue with me, but prevents me giving Slater straight A's for the job.  (All A's and a B for price issues.)  I would definitely use Slater again.  Overall my system now works as it should!

Fantastic job by the two techs from Slater. They got SO MUCH done in the hour they were here. Will absolutely hire them again!

This job was a big one. And I must say it went very well.

Awesome! Really loved working with Chuck and his crew. Our 23 year old yard had just had it. We knew it was time to bite the bullet and do something! Chuck came out, took a look and told us what he could do and also told us there was a 1 year warranty on the lawn and 3 year on sprinkler system. After having another previous estimate, we decided this was very reasonable. So the yard was hydro mulched and in less in six weeks it was looking good, and after eight weeks it looks beautiful! We have already had to mow three times! Can't wait to have Slater Lawn do our back yard ASAP!

The price charged by them was $2000. Mr. Slater himself came out, measured the lawn and drew up the plan for us. They submitted it to the city for approval. So, he did all that very efficiently. Then they came out and put the sprinkler system in one day, which was very nice. Mr. Slater then came out and explained how to run the system and everything else to us. Overall, it was a really good experience. It’s kind of hard to judge with the heat and the drought as to how well it works, but it does work. They are due to come out and do the annual check. They had a coupon where we got the rain sensors free along with the system. So, it helped us with the price too. If it rains, the system doesn’t go off.

It worked out really well.  They did a really good job.  I didn’t see the last bill but the one before that was around $100.  I don’t remember exactly though.  It must have been $80 or $87.  They are prompt and they are good guys.  Their price was excellent.  We are going to use their services again in the future.

We were happy with them, the price and the service.  They analyzed where the spray was hitting, where it wasn't, where there was too much, etc.  They changed out heads and so forth.  They always have a fair price and always do what they say they are going to do.  They come out pretty quickly.

These guys really move quickly and their prices are very reasonable. They do very high quality work and they don't try to drag everything out to bump up the cost.
