"Our driveway and parking situation at our office was getting to be in bad condition, so I was looking around to find someone trustworthy and that was tedious on there work, after lots of time looking around I found JB paving & construction and I can say that I am very satisfied with the work they had put in. "We've had Greenscape out several times - they installed a beautiful ranch style fence around our property with a vinyl coated welded wire insert (to keep the dogs in) and several gates. They also painted the whole project and made sprinkler repairs where necessary. They are great at communicating and do beautiful work. They're coming again next week to fix some irrigation issues. Highly recommend their services."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

You’ll first need to install a base underneath your pavers for extra stability and drainage. Otherwise, the pavers can sink into the ground, and you’ll have to reinstall them. Use a base gravel layer of 4 to 6 inches for walkways and 10 to 12 inches for driveways. Compact your gravel layer every 2 to 4 inches so it’s nice and solid. After you install your gravel base, apply a 1-inch layer of sand on top.

Gravel is the cheapest way to extend a driveway. Gravel is an affordable, practical option that’s easy to install and perfect for DIY projects, helping you save on labor costs. It can be quickly spread and leveled to create extra driveway space without heavy preparation. While gravel doesn’t offer the same durability or finished look as concrete or asphalt, its low cost makes it ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who want a functional solution without overspending.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.
