"We needed a pressure regulating valve and some investigation for a water pressure issue. Will and Nate showed up on time and began the work. The issue was unique and created interest that even George himself showed up. We were all working to establish what the likely source of the issue with the most likely culprit. After various tests it appears it’s the city meter. We made a call to SAWS to have them come out and check. George, Will, and Nate were all professional and pleasing to be around as well as knowledgeable. They completed the PRV install and additional hot water expansion tank install."

Customers say: Quick response

"When I made the appointment, we were told it would be difficult to get someone out past 5. So we took off work to make sure we were available for the 4-4:30 slot we were given. The plumber got there 20 after 5, and was dispatched almost an hour before he arrived at the house. This was really frustrating because we took off work for nothing. Once he got there, he spent literally 95% of the time writing a quote and barely even looked at the plumbing. I made a point to send the inspection report to the company so someone would know what they were looking at but they had not seen the report upon arrival. They seemed like nice people, and the "quote" was cheap, but it was a bit of a frustrating experience considering the amount of people involved (realtors, inspectors, etc) and an hour and a half wait for 5 mins of their time."

"The install was just fine, but the timing was very poor. We ordered the water heater on Monday from Home Depot, and was told that it would be installed on the same day. It was installed on THURSDAY. It would have been better to let me know clearly that the installer was over booked because I stayed home for three days when I had things that I needed to do and was waiting."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

3/4 HP is stronger than 1/2 HP. Horsepower measures how much weight can be moved and how fast, or the power needed to move 550 pounds one foot in one second. 1 HP equals 550 foot-pounds per second, so the higher the horsepower, the heavier the load it can lift. While 1/2 HP is a standard, powerful option, 3/4 HP has the extra strength to handle heavier, larger doors with ease.

Yes, many providers offer warranties for new pumps and labor. Confirm terms before scheduling.

Most sump pumps come with power cords that can be plugged into an outlet, but there are options that can be hardwired into a home’s electrical system. Either way, it’s smart to have a backup power supply in case the electricity goes out during a storm. That way, the sump pump can keep running and removing water from the sump pit.

Installing a battery backup for your sump pump is recommended, particularly if you live in an area with frequent power outages or severe rainstorms. A sump pump requires electricity to function, and a battery backup ensures it can continue to move water out of your home if the power goes out, providing crucial protection against flooding. Additionally, frequent power outages can create electrical surges that might damage the sump pump's motor. A battery backup system offers an additional layer of protection, ensuring your basement stays dry.

Submersible and pedestal sump pumps are two popular types of sump pumps. Submersible models are covered by water in a sump pit, which helps keep the motor cooler and quieter. Pedestal sump pumps stick out of the sump pit, so the motor stays dry and is easier to access. Submersible sump pumps are the pricier option, but they also have longer life spans.
