"I contacted Ambiance Ponds fountains and Pools to inquire about a small service job that I had on an existing fountain. Jerry contacted me within minutes of the inquiry through Home Advisor. Much to my surprise, they came the same day. I needed an additional part that Jerry didn't have with him, so they came back the next day, completed the service and added a feature that I was excited to have. I don't usually take the time to review a company, but I felt it important to tell you that this is a man true to the other reviews on the Home Advisor site. Honest, trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable, and kind. The price was reasonable and I am one happy customer."

"I just bought my first home which had a pool. Lucky me it came in a hideous tint of dark swamp green with a few frogs. I messaged a few pool companies and Jose with Lonestar pools was one of them. Majority of the companies advised me to drain my pool and the others told me it will take 2-3 weeks until its Crystal clear. Not to mention this would of costed $700-900 which is not including the water bill. Jose didn't go this route as he was extremely confident he can get my pool crystal blue and swimmable with a few short days. I obviously decided to go with him as he was very professional knowledgeable and confident in his services. I'm glad I went with Jose as he was good for his word and my pool was crystal blue in 5 days!! During those 5 days he showed up everyday to clean my filters and scrub my pool. Not to mention, 3 of the 5 days it was raining. Rain didn't stop Jose, he was outside changing my filters in the rain! Jose is a scientist when it comes to the pool chemistry. Any pool guy can drain water and pressure wash the pool but not all can figure out a pools chemistry and get it blue within a few short days. If you have a green/black pool? you need an expert and Jose is your guy! Also, Jose is very honest which is hard to find these days. When I bought my house I was told it needed resurfacing so I got 3 quotes which ranged between 5-10k. Jose does resurfacing as well and was happy to quote me too. BUT, he made it clear to me?. This is a cosmetic issue. If your eyes can handle the peeling which isn't bad then the resurfacing job can hold off for a bit. This was such a relief as I just bought 2 homes so money has been tight. Its nice to know the resurfacing can hold off until a later time. Most contractors wouldn't tell you this as they will lose the quick cash. I quickly hired him to do weekly cleanings on my pool. Jose is passionate about pools and it shows. He's a gem and I'm happy I found him. Hire him and you and your pool will forever be happy! Take my word!"

"I hired OutdooRevolution to install a flagstone/crushed granite deck. Craig and his team did outstanding work. The quality of work exceeded my expectations and the project was cleaner than any other completed at my home, all done at what I consider a very reasonable price."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

One reason you may want to fill in your pond is the cost of maintenance. Pond cleaning may cost about $1,000 for an annual cleanup, or monthly visits may cost $75 to $100 per visit. If you don’t want to spend that much per year on pond upkeep, you may consider filling in your pond.

Like pools, ponds can be a safety risk, so they may increase your homeowners insurance. Be sure to let your insurance company know if you build a pond on your property—they may have safety requirements in order to keep your premium from increasing.

Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.
