"Our home's wing wall was destroyed by a storm, and we had no luck finding a brick mason until HomeAdvisor put us in touch with Mr Surdulli. He and his son are true craftsmen: not only is the new wall a stable structure that has been built to last, but the Surdullis made sure that the new wall matches our home's existing brick and mortar. Even better, Mr. Surdulli worked with our budget! We absolutely love our beautiful new wall and wholeheartedly recommend this brick mason."

"Everyone was Professional. Crew showed up the day promised, hit the job hard, finished quick and they left the yard better than they found it after work was done. Watched the process the whole way through and the lead Forman explained in detail what they were doing the whole time. Great company for your foundation needs. Highly recommend"

"Jesus Cruz did everything necessary in a professional manner. He evaluated the structural integrity from the outside as well as the inside. Inspected various cracks and measured depressions or elevations in the foundation. He explained everything in detail to me and provided me with a detailed estimate. "Weâ d like to say the categories of this is not Fair to Texas Green Lead in regard to our project! We got several quotes or attempted to. This project was HUGE, we asked Gerardo to pour a driveway, build a shop pad with a massive retaining wall, erect a 30x50 metal shop, add a 22x20â patio extension extending the existing roof line. Gerardo performed phenominally! Our project took several months but from the start communication has been excellent! All concernâ s big or small was addressed. My Wife and I were hesitant at the beginning of our project but we can assure you, GERARDO and Texas Green Leaf are your top choice! From prepping, pouring and finishing the concrete work, erecting and welding the shop to building our patio extension along with the finish work. Our investment was in great hands! The best part that we appreciate is they take all projects regardless big or small and will segment them into phases! He completes one phase before starting the next which we greatly appreciate. Project management at its finest. If youâ re looking for a competitive price and solid contractor look no further!"

"They did what others said could not be done. They removed an ugly rust stain on our brick face as well as repaired the mortar on my chimney and even fixed previous mortar work to where you can't tell it was repaired. They also sealed most of our windows where the caulking was cracking and causing leaks around our windows. This team was great!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

A fireplace is, by definition, an enclosed space where you burn wood or other fuel for the purpose of generating light and heat. A firepit burns wood and is much less expensive to build, but they aren’t technically a fireplace as it isn’t enclosed. An outdoor oven—commonly outdoor brick pizza ovens—often uses wood as fuel, but its primary purpose is to cook food, and you’d rarely just burn wood inside them for warmth or aesthetic reasons.

This is largely dependent on the size and hardness of the rock, but a range of tools might work, including hammers, chisels, rock hammers, sledge hammers, and more. You'll need a jackhammer for the very biggest rock-breaking jobs.

Dekton is worth the money for homeowners who want a nonporous countertop that resists heat, stains, water, scratches, and UV damage. It comes in a wide array of colors and patterns at various price points to suit different renovation budgets. Dekton is not worth the cost for homeowners who are particularly worried about chipping or cracking.

Limewash can be removed from brick, but the method of removal will depend on how long the limewash has been on the brick. If the limewash has fully dried—which happens after about five days—you’ll need to use a diluted muriatic acid mixture to remove it. If there are multiple coats of limewash, you may need to apply the acid mixture several times to fully remove it from the brick.

Cobblestone can be made from many different types of stones but the most common ones, by far, are granite, basalt, limestone, and sandstone.  If you are laying a brick paver patio or other such project, the medium is different. It’s rare, but cobblestone can also be made from marble, slate, jasper, and other types of rock. Technically, you can make cobblestone from almost any type of rock, but if it is weather-resistant and stands the test of time is another question entirely.
