The brick on our home’s original porch columns were coming loose and falling apart, so we decided to refresh them to improve the curb appeal. Palomo Masonry helped us evaluate the best option for completing the porch columns and they turned out great. Excellent craftsmanship, great communication, and the work was done promptly. Karlo and his team were great to work with!

Reasonable price and outstanding work. The repair to the brick arch over my front door is indistinguishable from the rest of the masonry.

I felt I got a straight forward evaluation of the problem from Mr Palomo. He provided a good estimate and I hired him to do the work. Repairs were done the following day. Mr Palomo cautioned that exact matching of the mortar color might not be possible - but that it would be close. I can't tell now when I look that there had been damage and repairs made. In an earlier negative review I complained that Palomo hadn't shown to inspect and give an estimate. He explained that circumstances had delayed him and we didn't discuss the reasons or fuss about the delay. In the end the service was excellent.

Excellent price and customer service. Response for bid was quick and accurate. Work was performed promptly and professionally. New mailbox is beautiful. Highly recommended and would use again.

Outstanding service!!!!  Initially sent a text to Karlo who responded almost immediately.  He wanted a description  of what needed to be done (I sent him a picture).  He then sent an estimate.  My husband and I reviewed the other estimates and comments on Angie's list and decided to go with Palomo Masonry.  We then corresponded he said they were a week out....However, later he contacted me and said he could move it to Saturday (2 days away).  He then asked me to take a picture of the bricks on our house (about 5 feet away) so he could match as closely as possible...Prior to coming Karlo notified me he had the exact brick (and it was perfect)....
Karlo accompanied his crew on Saturday morning, i was out, but my husband was home and could see the progress.  I thought it was great that  Karlo texted me to give me updates and completion time.  The crew was excellent, very courteous completed everything much quicker than I expected and they did a phenomenal clean up (the broken mailbox bricks were still in a pile and they hauled it off)...Karlo emailed me an invoice marked paid to send to the insurance company.  The result was better than the previous mailbox.  Would I use them again.... ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Karlo Palomo contacted me immediately upon my query through AL. He offered an estimate right away. It was a bit lower than one other I had obtained, although it was considerably higher than the cost of the same repair the last time I had to have it done. He came out later that same day and inspected the site in person, having only seen it via, I suppose, Google Maps or some similar internet program when he gave the initial estimate. He lowered the estimate immediately upon seeing the actual box, as some of the required work he anticipated would not have to be done. He told me the work would be done in five-to-seven days, and he actually completed it the next Saturday morning, arriving after I'd left for work and completing it by the time I returned midday. He did an excellent job on the structure; he neatly stacked the surplus brick, and he approximated the structure he replaced by about 85%, which was all that was possible to do, owing to the availability of the brick used on the original. His design was a bit different but was, in my opinion, more attractive than the structure he replaced. I was satisfied in every way with his promptness, courtesy and professionalism, quality of workmanship, and business-like approach to the job. I highly recommend  him and would definitely call on him again for masonry work.

I called Karlo to have a new brick mailbox built for my home.  I purchased this home almost two years ago and there was a lot of leftover brick from when the home was built still left in the garage from 2005.  Karlo and his guy built a beautiful mailbox with those bricks and installed I secured mailbox that I purchased.  I'm very please with the quality of work and his quick response to my request.  I will definitely refer him to family and friends and call him if I need any other masonry work perfomed.

Came out the next day after approving quote.  Everything seems to be perfect. Price was higher than other quotes but I'm very happy with quality of work and the timeliness was perfect.

Karlo came out quickly and gave me a bid.  His crew showed up  soon after that on the day promised . The job became a little more involved than we had originally hoped , but still handled professionally . The job was completed on time . I was very pleased with the result as well the protection of the iron front door next to the stone arch . The cleanup job was good also .
I would definitely use hime again .

He's awesome. He's a great guy. I don't think anyone can beat him. He's terrific. He says what he's going to do and he does it. We tell him what he's going to do and he does it. He follows through. He's excellent. We've been working with a lot of contractors lately and he's one of the guys that's on the top of our list.

I called the number I found on Angie's List and got Karlo Palomo.  I remember he came out to survey the work to be done almost immediately.  If it was not that day then it might have been the next day after I first called.  After about a week passed, I didn't hear from him so I called him again.  After this second call to him, he came right out again even though he had some family events to tend to that had prevented him from coming back earlier to do the work.  He and his team (I think there were 2 or 3 others with him) got right to work and did a wonderful job.  At the end of the job I wrote a check out to him and he drove off.  It was at this point that I remembered that I had forgotten to give him my Angie's List discount coupon for 15% off. So I called him on his cell phone.  Even though he had already left several minutes ago, he still turned around and drove back to our house and returned my check so that I could write him a new one with the 15% discount (which turned out to be a $125 deduction)!  I thought this was great customer service!!

Bottom line - great work
When I first made contact, Karlo came out that same afternoon to look at what needed to be done. In addition to the work we knew about, he pointed out several areas we hadn't noticed. I expected an estimate in the next couple of days, but didn't hear from him again for a few weeks. When the estimate came in the price was very reasonable for the work we needed done. 
After that everything was like clockwork. He showed up at 8:30 about 3 days later with a large crew and they worked all day on the project. Everything looked fantastic when they were done, and they cleaned up after themselves and left everything immaculate. 
We  would use them again in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone.

Our mailbox was completely destroyed by someone who was texting and driving. The guy that hit our mailbox hired a handyman to fix the mailbox.  It was poorly done and we were not very happy.  Our neighbors were not very happy either.  We received numerous complaints.  The mailbox reminded me of the "cone heads" movie or tv show.  Palomo Masonry had to demolish the mailbox again and rebuilt from scratch.  Multiple neighbors stopped by and thanked him for fixing our mailbox.  We thank him too.  They did a wonderful job.  If I need any masonry work again, I will definitely use them again.

We have had extensive foundation repair done in the past, and so needed repair to many outside exterior brick areas around our house. The thing I was most concerned with was the repair mortar matching the existing mortar. While Karlo answered honestly saying that they do their best to match, he was able to deliver brilliantly. We can hardly notice the area that had work done; the mortar matches that well!

Karlo's team arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and even patched a few areas that they felt needed repair and included it in our prearranged estimate!

Karlo is very nice and was at our home many times throughout the day to oversee the work. We would use him again in a heartbeat!

In all, nine different areas were fixed and I felt that was more than fair for $900. Thank you!

Karlo provided a estimate for replacing our brick mailbox on 04/01. I confirmed the estimate on 04/15 and Karlo and his crew came out the next day to built the mailbox on 04/16. Fast service, they hauled off the old brick mailbox, and kept everything tidy around the house.
