Small jobs welcome

"As a first time home buyer, learning about home improvements, I really appreciated their patience and honesty in walking me through the process as well as choosing materials. I have had my floors done twice now due to unrelated foundation repairs. Both times, the quality of work has been amazing. Ive had other general contractors complement my floors and ask for their contact info. I have referred them to friends and colleagues. The next time I have a project that involves fixing or repairing my floor, I will reach out to DLR Flooring again."

"Flooring install was great. I used them twice. Second install wasn’t as good of quality, you can feel the floor move a little in some soft spots like the floor isn’t completely level. But over all good job."

"EFS flooring is the best!!! We got carpet flooring and wood flooring! Both came out excellent! Excellent job excellent team ! He finished the job the time frame that he promised. They work very clean. Their team shows up on time. In my house half of the floor was done with other company I want him to match the rest. My previous experience was disaster! He did match the floor. The color thatI pick doesnt match first, I ask his team re do with different color. Without hesitation they did send all and redo the stain and end up 100% match. Thanks to Eric and his team . I am very happy with His work! I highly recommend him !"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, water coming up from the floor should be treated as an emergency. If you're unable to either identify or stop the source of the water on your own, contact an emergency plumber right away. In addition to harming your flooring, standing or pooled water can lead to water-damaged concrete.

Technically, you can start tiling in a corner and work your way out. However, it's not traditionally how tiling is done. Instead, work from the bottom middle of the wall. Tile out the entire row with whole tiles before moving on to the next row. Once you finish installing all of the whole tiles, then you focus on tiling the corners.

Carpets in earthy, neutral shades should go with everything. Specifically, colors like beige, cream, and gray pair well with other neutrals and more vibrant colors. If you’re concerned about your carpet clashing with your walls or furniture, stay away from loud colors and complicated patterns, which could distract from the rest of your decor.

You can buy inexpensive kitchen flooring off the shelf at most home improvement stores with the best prices offered by big-box chain stores. Be aware, though, that not all flooring materials are suitable for DIY installation. Most flooring contractors can buy your flooring at a discount, so be sure to check with your contractor before buying your flooring materials.

A transition piece between carpet stairs and wood flooring isn't always necessary. A transition piece separates two types of flooring in between rooms and areas, like carpet and vinyl. Because the carpet on the stairs tucks into the seam, you can’t see the fringes, and there is no need to hide anything. However, you can use a stair cap if your stairs have a nose.
