"I'm very impressed with Mackenzy’s Plumbing and Drain Cleaning! Mack was so helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me a fair price quote and there were no hidden costs at the end of the service! The work was completed fast and it’s working beautifully! The customer service was excellent and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a highly qualified professional and honest plumber. I will definitely use them for any other plumbing jobs that I have. Thank you Mack for your service."

"I enjoyed working with this company from start to finish. The salesman was amazing and worked with me on the cost and size of the project. I normally don't like salesmen at all but I enjoyed talking with him, learning about the product, and also learning about his family. The two guys that came to install the windows were also very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and were very helpful. I was surprised by how efficiently they worked and the level of excellence they presented. I've had the windows in now about six months. I can definitely tell a difference on noise level and the rooms keep their temperature a lot better as opposed to the large swings the rooms were experiencing before with ever changing weather front. My electric bill also stayed a lot lower than I anticipated with the heat we've had this summer. I rated customer service at 4.5 because I still haven't received three screws they were supposed to bring over. Other than that small complaint, I would recommend the company. The windows have made a huge difference. I wish I could have afforded to do all of them at once!"

"I had a terrible smell coming from the faucets at the front of my house (We have two systems in this house and the back part is fine?no smell). The plumbers were prompt and professional; They diagnosed a bad water heater and replaced it for $3,000+, but the smell never left! I have called the office several times but the problem has not been corrected. They even tried to blame my water softener, but if that was the case I would have smelly water in all of the house, not just the front! I talked with another plumber who told me that the problem was definitely with the water heater! So, their initial service was good, but service after the sale is zero!!"

"Professional and friendly. They came on time, promptly diagnosed our problem with our central AC. They had the part on their truck and were able to quickly fix the AC. We were so pleased with their work, we are going to use their "annual maintenance" service, as well."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Vinegar is better for an AC drain line because it’s less corrosive and won’t damage the pipes. It’s also a safer and easier product to use. Bleach should not be used on your AC drain line because it can corrode your pipes and harm the evaporator coil in your air conditioner.

You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.

Yes, because any trapped moisture can have a negative impact on the integrity of the wall or façade of the building. Per the 2015 International Residential Code and Commentary: “Weepholes shall be provided in the outside wythe of masonry walls at a maximum spacing of 33 inches (838 mm) on center. Weepholes shall be not less than 3/16 inch (5 mm) in diameter. Weepholes shall be located immediately above the flashing.”

In general, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PEX (polyethylene), and copper are the three piping materials used in new constructions when adding water supply lines. There are some caveats. PEX and copper are considered ideal when running lines that will handle hot water because they are not at risk for melting and warping the way that PVC piping can. At $0.40 to $4 per linear foot, PEX is considered more affordable than copper pipes, which cost $2 to $12 per linear foot. PVC is considered appropriate in water lines for cold taps only.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.
