FG Pool Repair LLC is a local business, owned and operated by me, Francisco Gutierrez. I began working in the field of pool repair and renovation in 1997. Over the years, I have gained experience working with almost every type of pool. I started by working at a small pool repair company in Plano. Within two years, I became the foreman. For the next 10 years, I worked as a subcontractor for a variety of large pool companies in the Dallas area. In 2009, he created FG Pool Repair LLC. My work is highly regarded and a variety of customer recommendations are available upon request. We are committed to customer service and will take whatever steps are necessary to guarantee that you are 100% satisfied with our work. You can contact me directly at [email protected]. Come visit our new show room at 1135 East Plano Parkway!

"Francisco and his team were fast, professional and stayed within our budget. The pool came out even better than we expected. I recommend him to all my neighbors when they are looking at building a pool. He built a bigger and better pool for the same price that another pool builder quoted."

"Was referred to Champion by my home warranty company. Love the customer service. Throughout the process had the same customer service person (communicated by email.) Pump was not working. Tech came out said parts were needed as there was leak around pump. He tighten everything while waiting for parts approval and order. Pump ran best it has in a very long while. Customer service explained what was happening. Parts were approved, ordered and tech came out to replace. (work order 2027210)"

Tim The Poolman is qualified and trusted Pool Contractor at the area of Colleyville, Tx. Call (940) 765-0766 for the services provided and if you need more info. Bedford TX; Grapevine TX ; Southlake TX; Keller TX; Euless TX

"Tim had serviced our pool for over year. We recently had a problem where the pool pump would not work. Tim charged $145 for a new capacitor. It did not fix it. Tim then said to call an electrician saying the breaker was broken. I paid $144 for an electrician to tell me the breaker box was NOT broken. So, we had a problem that Tim could not fix. What does he do? He texts me that my weekly maintenance rate just went up between 28 % and 69 %. Plus, it would be another $650 to replace the pump. So, his response to not being able to fix the problem, was to raise my weekly rates and to ignore the over $299 that Tim had caused me to spend so far. Needless to say, I told Tim goodbye. I then found a professional that diagnosed and replaced the pump for $450 in less than an hour. I could have saved all kinds of headaches and $299 if I had never used Tim."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

To refill a hot tub after winter, start by opening up the tub and giving it a quick cleaning. If you use antifreeze, drain out the water then grab a hose and thoroughly clean the tub shell out, spraying water into each jet of the tub.

Reconnect the hot tub and turn the power back on. When it’s time to fill the tub again, insert the hose into the filter well (if available). Avoid trapping too much air in the water lines, which can cause the pump to lock up when it starts again. Add the necessary chemicals and start the heating process. It will take some time—most of a full day—for the water to heat up again.

The best thing with which to clean a hot tub is whatever the manufacturer recommends; in most cases, this is a gentle surface cleaner and a soft cloth. Recommended hot tub cleaners can include specially formulated cleaning agents, mild dish soap, baking soda, vinegar, or diluted bleach. For your hot tub exterior, choose wood or vinyl cleaner (depending on the casing material).

You should never use household cleaning products, harsh chemicals such as undiluted bleach or acids, or abrasive cleansers or cloths, as these can scratch or etch your hot tub’s coating or shell and cause permanent damage.

No. In fact, some owners prefer to “summerize” their hot tubs and use them primarily over winter to enjoy the contrast of cold and hot water. It’s possible to keep the tub filled and running year-round, and some pros may even recommend this method compared to the work and risks of a full winterization every year.

However, keeping the hot tub running will require additional resources. You’ll use more power and more chemicals to keep it in good shape. Weigh the pros and cons of your situation before making a decision.

You should put chlorine in your hot tub on a regular basis. To keep bacteria away, keep the chlorine level in your hot tub at between 3-5 mg/l, which may mean you need to add chlorine daily or at least every two to three days. Don’t add chlorine to your hot tub water more than once per day.

Unfortunately, a hot tub does use a relatively large amount of electricity. In fact, much of the money you spend on your hot tub will go toward electricity costs to keep the water heated. A typical hot tub will use anywhere from 1,500 to 6,000 watts of electricity per month.
