He also mentioned he thought my front door needed some attention and I agreed with him. The next day he and his team started the job. They redid two fence posts so the gates could close easily and sanded and stained my front door. They also polished my granite counters in my kitchen. He communicated well during the job which I appreciated as I was out of town. I am very pleased with his professionalism l, his rates, and his solid communication. I look forward to working with him on other projects."

You?ll want to provide sketches with measurements to ensure no miscommunication (e.g., exact light placement/height). The statement of work should specify how the area should be prepped for construction/painting, what constitutes a finished project (e.g., baseboards included or not, what will be painted), and how the area will be restored. Our main issue was lack of proper construction/paint dust mitigation and covering floors/walls/ceiling/furniture with the right materials. He caused damage to the flooring (carpets and wood), baseboards, and one of the sprinkler heads. The latter being at least $1200 to repair. He tried to clean, but it was too much. So he wrote off the unpaid balance to help reimburse us. "
