RODRIGUEZ HOME QUALITY REPAIR

Mr. Rodriguez charged me for repairs that were not necessary and not preformed. He will not refund the difference. He told me I needed repairs. Then sent his company to evaluate. They said not all quoted repairs were necessary.

Do not buy a house from this builder. You cannot trust him to do what he previously agreed to do. He has failed to follow through with his promises multiple times.  He is difficult to contact and he doesn't answer his phone.  But the vast majority of time his voicemail box is full and you can't leave a message.  In the rare events we were able to leave a message, he rarely contacted us back, and certainly not in a timely manner.  I cannot stress enough that if you do any business with this builder, be prepared for having a hard time contacting him, getting any responses back and empty promises. AVOID!

Carlos Rodriguez, the owner, is the kind of person Angie's List likes to brag about.  He is honest, hardworking and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is to your satisfaction.  This is not the first time he has done work for us.  He painted the exterior of our house in 2005.  He did an outstanding job then, and the paint looks as good today as it did eight years ago.
We told him this time, when we had him give us an estimate, that we had recently been bilked out of $800 by Adrian Rodriguez of Lemuel Tile who asked for up-front money to do a bathroom remodel and who took the money and disappeared.  He assured us that he was not related to nor connected with Adrian Rodriguez and told us that he would not ask for any up-front money but would buy the materials himself and not ask for any money until the job was done to our satisfaction.
He and his crew showed up first thing Monday morning, October 7, 2013 ready to go to work.  His crew was polite, cheerful, hardworking and would do anything I asked them to do.  They got the house painted within a week with a minimum of mess.  Some of my husband's colleagues told him he might as well plan on getting our carpets professionally cleaned afterwards, but that was not necessary.  I knew what they were talking about because some small companies are owned by people who have only worked in new construction and don't know how to keep a house and furniture protected while they work.  I didn't have to worry because Mr. Rodriguez' crew kept the carpet, tile floors and furniture well protected.  There were a few very small paint spatters here and there which were easily removed, but there was absolutely nothing to complain about with this job.  Mr. Rodriguez was there most of the time supervising and making sure everything was being done the way it should be.  When they finished, they had done one heck of a good job and in record time.
Early the next week my husband noticed that one wall that I had tried to touch up prior to having the house painted still didn't look quite right.  Mr. Rodriguez was only too happy to come right back and put some more paint on it.  He touched up more than was necessary and even bought some more paint for the woodwork, which he gave me, to make sure everything was perfect.
Please do not take advantage of this man by not paying your bill after he does your work now that you know that he is one of the good ones.  These people are few and far between.  APPRECIATE IT!!!
