His price was by far the best price. I did ask for references and he gave me name of a guy he had done the entire home for and gave him an excellent report. The work went very well. I had had some stucco repair done in previous years. That company didn't get anywhere close matching the current stucco; but Frank was able to match it so well! The quality was wonderful.

Prompt, professional and I would hire them again. Came when they said they would. Did what they said they would. Provided samples of their work prior to starting and consulted with me along the way. Cleaned up after their work.

My client was out of town; so I was the one who was the go-between. I found them through Angie's List and gave the information to my client, and he chose that company. Overall, it went great. As far as the meet up time, they were there on time. They were very professional and presented the picture to my client. As far as the startup time, they were a little late than the initial plan. As far as the work that they were going to do, they actually went beyond. I would recommend them again.

I was refered to C&R Lath & Plaster (210 685-7312) by my siding contractor who uses them extensively. The stucco walls had many cracks, dated architectural detail and were extremely uneven with a very thick blown on finish. The owners Trey and Jimmy met with me shortly following my call. They were personable, knowledgable and made several helpful suggestions as to how to achieve the aesthetics I was looking for. Soon thereafter they provided a detailed itemized bid which is helpful should you desire to make changes as the work unfolds. They came out when we were ready and started with demo which lasted for a couple days. Even though this phase is remarkably laborious and messy there was no inconvenience, nothing was damaged and the worksite was thoroughly cleaned daily. Following demo they installed wire mesh where necessary in order to accept fresh stucco and made necessary repairs as well as some additions in order to tie into the work other contractors were doing. When it came time to apply the stucco there were no less than 5 workers on site at all times with either Jimmy or Trey working alongside them everyday. Work progressed rapidly with a minimum of inconvenience and once the skimcoat phase was completed it was impossible to tell where any demo had occured or repairs had been made. They take pride in their work and actually did more than I had asked them to do in order to provide a smooth transition from new stucco to existing stucco at no additional expense. There is a little bit of downtime in order to allow the skimcoat to cure and sometimes you worry that when a contractor pulls their crew off the site there may be delays in their return, But this wasn't the case with C & R, they came back full force as soon as the skimcoat had cured. Once they applied the finish coat I was absolutely amazed at the quality of their work. The walls were perfectly even with no imperfections. After the stucco work was completed my siding and roofing contractors would occasionally have questions as to how to blend their work into the stucco and Jimmy or Trey would immediately come out to advise at no cost. At one point one of the contractors misinterpreted some instructions and cut into the stucco in the wrong area. C & R came out and repaired the damage at no expense. If you are looking for perfect work with no drama I would thoroughly recommend C&R Lath & Plaster.
