"I contracted Andy Kalnasy from Q4U Outdoorz grill to repair the ignition system in my DCS 30" gas grill. Andy charges $60 cash for the grill evaluation and then will send you a summary of the parts and labor needed for the repair. I received his summary of the parts and labor cost ($489.70) to repair the ignition system for a grand total of $547.70. I approved the repair cost and Andy returned a week or so later and completed the repair. I told Andy I wanted to put the $489.70 on a credit card (which they accept per their website) but he asked me if I could write a check instead, which I did. The second time I tried to light my grill there was NO spark coming from the ignition module. I replaced the battery to make sure that wasn't the problem, which it wasn't. So, I emailed Andy and asked him to return to my home to look at the grill, to which he said NO. He indicated he did not replace the ignition button or module and that was probably the problem. He wanted another $150/per hr. to look at my grill again. I asked him if he guaranteed his work to which he indicated "only the parts I replaced". I tried to stop payment of the check but of course he cashed it the very same day, knowing I could have contested a charge on my credit card. So, be aware of this guy and his business practices. Charging someone almost $600 to fix the ignition system and not replacing the ignition button or module is unacceptable! I would strongly recommend NOT using this guy or company."

With Certified Plumbing the professional coming to your home will have 20+ years of plumbing experience. You can count on straight forward pricing and a personal commitment to quality as our work is a reflection of us. Give us a call and you'll see what a low-overhead plumbing service can save you. Certified Plumbing Supports Energy and Water Conservation For Example: Tankless water heating systems are revolutionizing the way modern homes meet their water heating needs. These compact units can produce and supply endless streams of hot water to multiple outlets at once without any fluctuation in temperature. Because conventional water tanks heat and store hot water around the clock, you are heating and re-heating water, and constantly losing energy. A tankless water heater only comes on when you start to use hot water, and immediately shuts off when you are done, so you are not wasting energy. Tankless water heaters have much more effective heat exchanger and burner systems than conventional tanks. This allows you to utilize a much higher percentage of your energy. So much so that there is up to a $300 Federal Energy Tax Credit when you purchase one for your home and for certain residents, TX Gas Service provides a rebate up to $300. Modern tankless units cost more than conventional tank type water heaters, but are a better value. The energy saved typically results in payback in a few years or less. They save money every day, provide a high level of performance and safety, and last twice as long as a normal tank type heater. They save floor space and have a unique flexibility to be placed in locations closer to points of use to further cut energy cost and reduce water consumption. Trip Charge/Estimate: $39.00 - Deducted from final price if you choose Certified Plumbing to complete the work. The Plumber coming to your home will have 20+ years of plumbing experience. "I am HURT and appalled at the experience that my husband had at this establishment today. We live in Georgetown and for years have made the trip to purchase pellets from this establishment in the effort to support an independently owned business. We have purchased 3 smokers from them and have referred 2 friends who have purchased a smoker each. Today my husband made the 50 mile round trip journey to the store to ask about an issue with the ignition switch and upon arrival, realized that he had forgotten to bring a mask. He opened the door and attempted to ask David if he would charge him for 4 bags of pellets. He did NOT enter the store, nor would he have. He was rudely informed that he should've called first. My husband tried to tell him that he has recently had brain surgery (scars of which are evident and obvious) and has been rendered 100% deaf in one ear and has only 20% hearing remaining in the other ear rendering conversation via phone IMPOSSIBLE. I am angry and heartbroken at the HUMILIATION and RUDENESS that was heaped upon him. Buyers BEWARE- this establishment extends no help to HANDICAPPED!!!! Veterans should shop elsewhere. Do yourself a favor, shop where your business is appreciated and you are treated like a human instead of a petri dish!!!!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to empty a propane tank is to simply use it until no propane remains. If you’re short on time and need a faster solution, transfer the propane to another tank instead. Wear leather gloves to protect your hands, then connect the hoses from both propane tanks and seal them tightly. Turn the knob to open the supply tank valve on the full tank and let it run until the pressure pushes all the propane into the other tank. When all propane is transferred, remove the hose and seal each tank.

Yes, you can have a gas line professionally installed to convert your traditional fireplace to natural gas; just know it’ll be an extra cost to budget for. The cost to run a gas line where you don’t already have one is about $540, though most homeowners pay between $260 and $820. Your total could be significantly higher if you don’t already have a main gas line running to your home.

Running a natural gas line costs between $260 and $820, with an average cost of $540. Gas line repairs cost between $15 and $25 per linear foot, and the cost depends on the type of fittings and connectors, the piping needed, and the mounting hardware. The pipe’s location also matters as it will take more time and labor to access underground pipes than aboveground pipes.

The cost to install a gas line is $540 on average, but most spend between $260 and $820. In extreme cases, your total cost could reach $1,350.

Factors that influence the cost of a new gas line installation include your geographic location, materials, and labor. Gas line installation costs are higher in urban versus rural areas due to the drilling technique required to get under road structures.

Even if you invested in the cost of a gas shut-off valve for your oven and other appliances, it’s a good idea to add a seismic shut-off valve as an extra safety measure.

Gas shut-off valves for appliances are manual, meaning someone has to cut off the flow of gas. This leaves room for error, as you might not be home or might be too distracted to think about gas lines during an earthquake. An earthquake valve is automatic and will protect your home from gas-related disasters in the event of an earthquake.
