"No question about it, Deck-O-Art is an excellent hardscape contractor. My project included a completely new drainage system for my backyard that ties into the pool deck. This drainage project solves a decades old water penetration issue at my house. Phase 2 was a complete and total renovation of my 40,000-gallon pool, including deck equipment, electrical, etc. Finally, my circular driveway was renovated from pea gravel to beautiful tile pavers, that included concrete dividers that really make it pop. Cost and age are two factors to consider when determining if you should repair or replace your concrete driveway. If your existing driveway is on the older side and the cost of repairs is 50% or more of its value, it might be worth replacing it. Replacing a concrete driveway when it's 20 years old and deteriorating in condition will save you from the cost of repairs that likely wouldn’t save it from replacement in a few years anyway.

Cracks, spalling, uneven surfaces, and weather damage often necessitate professional repair or resurfacing.

You have different options depending on the scale of repair needed. If you are repairing minor cracks that are between ¼ inch to 1.5 inch wide and less than half an inch deep, a self-leveling polyurethane sealant would be your best choice. Polyurethane sealants dry to the touch within one to two hours. Since they come in a tube applier, you also have the option to complete the repair without emptying out your garage.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Resurfaced concrete can last anywhere from eight to 15 years on average. Just how long your resurface concrete driveway lasts depends on how often you seal the concrete, the amount of traffic, how well the concrete resurfacer was applied, and even the soil quality. Poor soil that led to premature cracks in your existing concrete can quickly lead to even more cracks and problems if you don’t fix the root cause of the cracked concrete.
