"I gave one of managers at HHI my punch list of items to be fixed. It included almost every spectrum of work except HVAC and plumbing. The manager actually BID the job, instead of quoting a price per the hour. This was extremely refreshing as I knew from the get go that ALL the work would be completed and there was no question of how much. I thought the amount agreed upon was fair. Two techs showed up to my house, on the scheduled day, at the scheduled time, and they quickly went to work, knocking out the easier items first and the buckling down on the more difficult. They finished all the work in a good amount of time and best of all, it was all done correctly and professionally. If you are in need of a handyman service, don't be alarmed by the lack of cost per hour listed. "The replacement went fine. The work was professional and at the agreed time. I was pleased with that. My only issue was with the charges. I had found the mechanism online priced at $108 (with $13 shipping). It would have arrived after my desired time frame, so I expected the locksmith would have a local resource from which to purchase at a wholesale price in a more timely manner. I expected that price to be about $60; certainly less than $100. However, I was told the locksmith paid $179! This didn't seem reasonable. Also, I did not receive an itemized receipt, only a total. After expecting to pay perhaps $150, I was actually charged almost TWICE that. So although I was happy with the work, I was certainly not happy with the price."
