"We hired South Eden to help us with our backyard landscaping from planning to completion. I highly recommend Jaz and team for ANY landscaping plan. As we are not new to landscaping design, I had very specific "wants" and "don't wants" in our project. They were VERY accomodating and reworked the plan design several times before starting the project and during the project. They communicated during every step of the way to assure we were more than happy with the results. As we wanted a design with zero grass, South Eden was extremely knowledgeable in hardscaping options, plant selection, and plant location to make the design perfect for our layout. The team that came to complete the landscaping were on time and very pleasant to work with. My specific ratings are below as a single "5 STAR" doesn't do them justice: 1. Communication and Followup: 5 STAR (most landscaping companies didn't even bother to call us back 2. Landscape planning and design: 5 STAR 3. Pricing: 5 STAR (estimate was 60% of the other landscaping companies) 4. "I contracted with A Quality 1 on 12 Mar 24 and it took over 5 weeks for them to complete the work - and it was sub-par across thw board. When finished, there where large gaps/open areas between the sod pieces, the preparation/placement for river rock was sloppy and edging was uneven and loose. They stickly adhered to the estimate originally give, but better customer interface with additional guidance/suggestions would have been appropriate; i.e., the river rock was poured over water sprinklers that they didn't cap or turn off -- it would seem appropriate to suggest or offer to do that... Last month, I hired another contractor to "fix" the sod, river rock and edging shortalls of A Quality 1. On Friday, 7 June, the contractor pulled a 12-inch spike out of the ground next to some edging work that A Quality 1 had done - this exposed a puncture to the main water line. The spike was "self-sealing" the puncture until it was removed. I have pictures and videos of the punctured water line when discovered and after the $711.00 repair. A Quality 1 does not accept responsibility for the water line puncture and refuses to reimburse me the repair cost. I may have been generous in giving them an "Overall Rating" of two stars..."
