"A Best Tree service does an A+ job EVERY TIME. I have been using them for at least 15 years to keep our shrubs trimmed and trees, including 3 Huge Red Oaks and a huge Pecan pruned and in good health. Jesus always returns my calls right away and usually will come by the next day to look at the job and give me a great price. I rarely make comments in this manner, but Jesus and his men deserve the praise!"

"Teague’s Tree Service did an outstanding job! From the outset, their professionalism and expertise shone through. They arrived on time and took the time to explain the entire process. Their attention to detail and care for my trees was evident from the start. They approached the task with precision and skill, ensuring the health and beauty of my trees. The result was a transformation – my trees look healthier, more vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. Not only was the work top-notch, but the cleanup afterward was also impeccable. They left my property spotless, and I didn't have to lift a finger. It was evident that they took pride in their work from start to finish."

"I've used Texas Sun twice for emergency tree services following storms. The first was to remove a tree that had nearly fallen through my roof. The second was to remove a huge branch that was broken and dangling from a tree over my deck. In both instances Esteban was able to quickly get a team over to my house to remove the tree and branch before further damage was done to my house. Esteban and his team are extremely professional, friendly, and were always on time. I appreciate this company so much and will be using them for future needs."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Opt for a barefoot tree. Pros harvest barefoot trees when they’re dormant (leafless). They shake the dirt from the root ball and pack it in moist material.

These trees can cost half as much as the trees at your local nursery, and you can buy them online—so there’s a much wider selection. Just make sure you keep your barefoot tree cool until you’re ready to plant it.

Late August, September, and mid-October are the ideal months for planting a young tree. However, the best time to plant a tree ultimately depends on when the weather transitions to fall-like conditions and eventually winter frost. As long as the hottest days of summer have passed and the ground hasn’t frozen yet, you can still successfully plant trees.

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.

Signs include dead branches, growth over structures, diseases, pests, or roots impacting hardscapes.

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump typically takes between six and 12 months. While this may seem like a long time, it is significantly faster than the natural decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. This method is a viable DIY option for stumps that do not pose an immediate hazard. If you need a faster solution, you can hire a professional for stump removal or grinding, though this may cause more damage to the surrounding ground.
