We agreed to an estimate of work for 2 granite countertops, 4 backsplashes, 1 granite wall topper and 1 threshold topper for the amount of 1343.66 on 1-6-2014 a deposit was made for the amount of 680.00 on 1-21-2014. We agreed for final measurements to be completed on 2-27-2014. Delivery and install was scheduled for Saturday 3-1-2014. We were informed late Saturday afternoon that delivery and install would be delayed due to a delay on the job scheduled before ours on Saturday. A follow up delivery and install date of Monday 3-3-2014 was made. Due to bad weather we rescheduled for delivery and install for Tuesday. Tuesday morning we were informed that the 3rd party (subcontractor)granite shops saws were "frozen" and this would delay our delivery and install until 3-6-2014. This was a surprise to us as we were under the impression that our granite was cut and ready on Saturday the 3-1-2014. I was told the saws were frozen and until they thawed out our job would be delayed, an offer to install the wall and threshold topper was made and accepted for the afternoon of 3-4-2014 it was never followed through on, also we were told the rest of the order would be delivered and installed on 3-6-2014. Near the end of the day 3-4-2014 I traveled to the 3rd party fabricator to check on our granite order and get a status update because I didn't have a good feeling and was becoming suspicious about my phone and text conversations with the Go-Granite owner ****** ******* as the story had changed a few times. I found the toppers were finished and 1 sink was complete. However the 3rd party told me he was waiting for the delivery of the last slab of granite from the owner of go granite to complete the 2nd sink and the backsplashes. He also refused to install what he had completed of my order saying they don't make multiple install runs on the same order. I requested to take my toppers and the fabricator called ****** ******* the owner of go granite. I informed her while on the fabricators speakerphone the fabricator was waiting for her to deliver the granite so he could complete our order and that it appeared that the saws were running fine and not frozen at all. She agreed to deliver the slab of granite so the delivery and install date of 3-6-2014 could be honored. She agreed to me taking the toppers from the fabricators site so that I could have another company come to my home and complete the shower glass measurements with the toppers in place. I got the toppers home to find they did not fit and could not be set in place to complete the glass measurements. I texted the owner to inform her of the problem. She informed me she would forward info to the 3rd party fabricator. This is the last I heard from ****** the go granite owner regarding the matter on 3-4-2014. I informed her I was willing to help her however I could to get the project completed. I also informed her I would be contacting the BBB if we had no follow through.
Desired Settlement We are requesting Go-Granite:
1. Immediately dispatch installers the A.M. of 3-5-2014 to install the toppers that were to be installed on 3-4-2014 which don't currently fit and are at my home. These are required to be installed to move forward with our shower glass measurements, (it takes 5-7 days after the glass measurements are complete to fabricate and install the shower glass.)
2.Get the additional ***(MATCHING)*** slab of granite to the fabricator immediately so he can complete our 2nd sink and 4 backsplashes. (We have been told since 1-21-2014 there exists an additional matching slab that is off site. Despite multiple requests, we have not been able to inspect said slab. We suspect that this slab doesn't exist and is why our project has been delayed.)***(We want to view the slab ***BEFORE*** fabrication in order to insure the 2 sinks and 4 backsplashes match and aren't going to clash in color or pattern.) If said slab does clash in color or pattern with the already cut (1) sink. We want 2 sinks and 4 backsplashes cut from the same slab in order to match.
3. Honor the A.M. 3-6-2014 final delivery and install date for 2 sinks and 4 backsplashes. -

We purchased granite from Go Granite recently the CS was horrible, would not return emails, calls and etc. The installation of the granite was bad, the seam line (is at the sink which they suggested and we agreed to unbestknown to us that is the worst possible spot to put your seam) is very noticeable, it is wide and not cut straight, along 1 wall there is a " between the wall and granite because it was not cut straight. When I talked to the owner was told that was the way it was, sent pics she told me she would get back to me and still have not heard from her. We have had 3 granite installers come out to try and correct the issues and they told us this must have been done by folks who didn't know what they were doing. I would strongly recommend not using them horrible workmanship and customer service from the owner. So please check around before using them and just as a FYI they will give you a discount if you write good things about them in the review sections of some sites.

Counters look great, but the job is not finished. I paid half up front with my credit card. They charged us for the other half without my authorization!! I have called several times and left phone messages and emails, but no reply. Do not use this company.

Owner takes no accountability for mistakes...I ordered a backsplash for my kitchen from Go-Granite.Materials were great, but we found out that they bought them at Lowe's. They also hired an external crew at the last minute, because all of their people were out of town. Communication and customer service was a serious problem. They fail to notify you of delays, don't return calls, don't answer e-mails, don't tell you about all of the additional work that has to be done after the initial install. We missed work, had to cancel plans and chase Go-Granite to get our job completed. Had we not made the initial deposit, I would have just found a new company to do it. The owner offers a lot of attitude and blame when you finally do get her on the phone. I was shocked at her behavior - she actually blamed me for the issues because I had requested an additional set of tiles to be added, which she said was not a problem when I called and asked for"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/lake-dallas/go-granitecom-reviews-7954115.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Cyclone Professional Cleaners","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Kyle K."},"reviewBody":"Arrived on-time. "In August 2022, after hearing about DFW Improved on a home improvement radio show, we entered into two contracts with them for a roof replacement and interior water damage repair. These contracts were based on insurance-approved scopes following the 2021 ice storm. DFW Improved began the roof replacement project first. Following the replacement, the roof continued to leak due to their failure to replace the flashings. Despite corresponding work items in the insurance scope (confirmed later by the insurance adjuster's email), the DFW Improved salesperson insisted that flashing was not part of the roof. He threatened legal action if further payment was not made. Prior to this, they presented two identical model shingles as choices, which their own roof subcontractor on-site disclosed. Upon our inquiry via email, instead of addressing the issue, the salesperson accused us of defaming their company. Furthermore, they quoted $900 for a non-existent siding hole and estimated $25,000 for a bookcase, which their own designer valued at $6,000 to $7,000. While the roof leaking issue was still unresolved, DFW Improved began interior work. Instead of submitting the agreed supplement request as agreed, they skipped necessary steps to cut water-damaged drywall. To prevent wasted effort, we instructed workers to stop. The salesperson responded, stating that workers would not proceed with any work not approved by insurance. However, he emailed the insurance company claiming that the work had already been completed, causing significant confusion for us. During the halt period, we sent out numerous issues such as broken air pipes, cracked roof rafters, missing insulation, roof holes, missing felt paper, and a leaking roof. However, we received no response other than prevaricate explanations and demanding for money. We escalated to the DFW Improved upper manager who responded that they are their best team members and disregarded our request for an alternative project team. DFW Improved abandoned the projects and warranties, and initiated separation in December 2022. Both parties engaged in negotiations over separation costs. During this process, DFW Improved unexpectedly sent four individuals to our house, claiming to inspect texture work and demanding payment. Subsequently, DFW Improved placed a lien on our house, and their lawyer sent a demanding letter stating they would auction our house and (quote)“sue Vigorously” if payment was not made, despite the mediation/arbitration clause clearly outlined in the contracts. Under this pressure, we filed a claim in Tarrant County Small Claims Court, where the lien was placed. Later, their lawyer filed a motion to transfer the case to Collin County, where DFW Improved is based. We refused to comply with a demand for $5,000 and the confidentiality requirement during mediation. DFW Improved filed a new case simultaneously in the higher Tarrant County District Court, demanding a new amount of $59,845 and seeking to enforce the lien, providing no explanation for this amount. According to their co-owner's email, their accounting book calculated that we owed them a total of $1,260 (detailed below). During pre-mediation discussions, their lawyer attempted to justify their request for $8k, citing that a significant portion was allocated to attorneys' fees. We did not engage their lawyer to send us a threatening letter containing false statements about suing us without mediation. Their lawyer also declined $65 public mediator service provided by the Tarrant Small Claims Court. Additionally, they unilaterally escalated the dispute to a higher court. We have never been late with their payments. In fact, DFW Improved made a math error by crediting the blind work twice. When we brought this to their attention, DFW Improved spent extra time correcting the invoice, and their salesperson initiated an internal investigation. Any delay was certainly not caused by us. "Tinney Trades did a beautiful job with our recent kitchen and laundry room remodel. They assisted us with 1) room layout, making valuable suggestions to help us us maximize the space; 2) material selection, providing suggestions for beautiful, durable products for the job, and 3) material acquisition, providing us with suggestions to source some of the products we desired. The contractors they engaged were true craftsmen. They put up drapes to minimize dust and cleaned the workspace each evening. Because of the Tinney's and their contractors attention to detail, each component of our new kitchen‐the cabinets, flooring, backsplash, counters, plumbing, electrical and lighting is beautiful. They did a fabulous job and we would recommend them."

FAQs for marble and granite service projects in Copper Canyon, TX
Installing a marble backsplash costs about $2,200 on average, ranging from $600 to $6,000, depending on the variety of marble and the labor costs to prep and install.
Common types of marble used for backsplashes include:
Makrana: $12 per square foot
Pink: $25 per square foot
Carrara: $40 per square foot
Statuatrio: $50 per square foot
Cultured: $65 per square foot
Travertine: $75 per square foot
Danby: $80 per square foot
Calacatta: $180 per square foot
Marble countertops cost$3,000 on average, ranging from about $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the type of marble, square footage, location, and whether you use tiles or slabs. Another major cost factor to consider is the grading of the marble, which determines its quality level.
Use this grading system when selecting marble for countertops:
Grade A: Nearly perfect with subtle veining
Grade B: Minor flaws such as pits, fissures, or blotches
Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair
Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors
Granite and marble compare well against each other in terms of price, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Deciding which one is better depends on your personal style and preference. Both materials resist damage like chips and cracks well. You should seal both material types against staining and etching, but they’re still susceptible if oil, wine, coffee, tomato sauce, or juice are left on the countertop long enough. As material and installation costs range similarly, the deciding factor is your budget, design, and preferences.
Installing granite kitchen countertops costs about $3,250, ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on the quantity and quality of the granite, use of granite tile or granite slabs, the type of granite, and its color and texture.
Varieties of granite include:
Alaska white: $35 per square foot
Ubatuba: $30–$60 per square foot
Silver cloud: $35–$40 per square foot
Absolute black: $45–$60 per square foot
Black galaxy: $50–$70 per square foot
Blue Louise: $70–$100 per square foot
Crema Bordeaux: $80 per square foot
Solarius: $60 per square foot
Overall, granite tends to cost more than marble. Prices for each material will fluctuate depending on the source of the stone, your location, shipping costs, and the thickness of the material. Labor to install marble or granite countertops typically ranges from $35 to $45 per hour.
Granite and marble tile and slab costs compare as follows:
Marble tile: $7–$10
Granite tile: $5–$15
Marble slab: $25–$60
Granite slab: $50–$100
