It went great, detail-oriented, quality work, on time as scheduled and, Steve was very professional and spent a lot of time with us to ensure we got just the right selection. I would highly recommend Artisan Granite Countertops.

Excellent. I called numerous companies to do this simple job but so many wanted to gouge me price-wise. Some were going to charge me more than what the RO filter cost. I found this company and the owner was amazing. What a wonderful person. I would hire again for any job he does. Honesty is so important.

Steve came by for an initial consultation and provided an estimate and explained how the job would go. He is very professional and provides the extra customer care of helping to select the granite and back splash. We met Steve and his wife and selected the granite and the back splash. The deom and installation took place as scheduled and they did a great job. The kitchen looks fantastic. I would hire again.

Excellent. They did a great job. We told Steve the type of granite we wanted (Geriba Gold), and he selected the specific slab. As soon as our new cabinets were installed, they made the template for the countertop, and it was installed the next week. The completed bathroom looks beautiful, with the countertop as the focal point. It's a work of art. (Cost includes the price of the slab as wells the work.)

Excellent!! Artisan was the lowest quote I got which I would generally avoid as its usually lower for a reason, but the reviews were so good I decided to go with them. The reviews did not lie. Steve and his teams are professional, reliable and do incredible work. My wife and I are pretty challenged when it comes to design so I really appreciated Steve meeting us at the stone and backsplash stores to help us pick out our materials and provide his input. His crews arrive when they say, are very polite and clean up after themselves when they are done. All in all, great work, great experience, great price.... and we couldn't be happier!

It went very well. I would give him triple A if I had that choice. I had a lot of trouble being able to find someone to take the time to come out and do such a small job, but Steve did it. I called around numerous companies that had been recommended to me by others, but it wasn't until I called Steve, the first one I called on Angie's List, did I get someone willing to do the job. I have some friends remodeling their kitchen in the new year and I am going to recommend him.

Great service from beginning to end.  You can tell he has a passion for this.  Steve has strong relationships with all the granite wholesalers, and we went to quite a few of them to browse selection of truly hundreds of slabs.  This was a big value add for us as quite a few other contractors only let you choose from a handful they stock.  Also commend them on the layout.  We have a large kitchen w/ lots of counter space, and they managed to map everything out to where there is only 1 seam!

It has taken me a while to post my review because we did not have new appliances installed when we had the kitchen work done, and I wanted to be sure the "after" picture did Steve's work justice.
Steve's team ripped out our 66 SF laminate countertop (hallelujah!) and 36 SF backsplash and replaced with granite countertops and tile backsplash. He also installed a new stainless steel sink.
Steve has dedicated contractors he works with, and he is very picky about who he allows on his team because he is a perfectionist. I was embarrassed by our old teal countertops and mismatched appliances, and now people walk into our house, see our kitchen, and say "Wow!" (I have attached a before and after picture so you can see the dramatic difference.)
The best part about working with Steve is that he and his wife actually go to the showroom with you and walk you through selecting the granite, tile, etc. I didn't realize how amazing that was until we later worked with a different contractor for a bathroom remodel (a job Steve didn't want because we live so far away, and bathroom jobs require more of his time on site). The other contractor just said, "Go pick your granite and tile." We had learned from Steve to go in the back for the best granite, but we had to go "back to the drawing board" with the tile three different times before giving up on the other contractor because he had a reason every choice we made would not work. With Steve on-hand during the entire process, we only had to visit the showroom once! 
Steve is a former police officer, but also an artist. This combination of traits make him the perfect contractor: he is honest and holds his subcontractors to high standards, but also has a vision for what looks best in a space. We would have been completely lost in this process without his expertise, and we are SO happy with the final product.

We did a full remodel on our kitchen. I called Steve after seeing his great reviews on Angies List. He set an appointment for the next day and showed up on time. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He took his time explaining the process and even showed us samples. We set an appointment to meet at the granite warehouse. Once again he was on time. He took extra time with us picking out the right stone(3 slabs). During the whole process, Steve was never late and was the utmost professional. He did such a great job on our granite, we used him for our tile backsplash as well. He knows his stuff. His prices are more than competitive. When you factor in the level of service Steve brings, its a no brainer. I am more than pleased with the job Artisan Granite did for us. Absolutely beautiful!

Mr. L'Huillier was a true pleasure to work with from the very beginning when he arrived for our estimate to the very end of our project.
He met with us at granite suppliers and the tile supplier and helped pick out the appropriate supplies for our kitchen.  Mr. L'Huillier's crews were polite an efficient.
The workmanship was outstanding.  I highly recommend Artisan Granite for any of your counter top projects.

We always get complements on the new, high quality granite with custom touches like teardrops for the bar, and complementary edge styling for the island and counters.  Similar prices to others on AngiesList, but it was the custom touches and additions that set them apart.

We had worked with Steve several times before, so it was easy to communicate with him, and he anticipated much of what we wanted.  He took care of the demolition, ordering the sink and faucet to be installed, and fabricated the granite for us.  As we had done in the past with a powder room, we asked Steve to put the granite not only on top of the vanity, but also on one of the walls next to the vanity.  The fabrication was ready just a few days after the measurements were taken, and it looked absolutely perfect -- it was exactly what we wanted.  The installation occurred exactly as scheduled; the workmen were extremely professional and obviously expert at what they were doing.  We were completely satisfied and intend to use Artisan Granite again in the future.  (Approximate cost of service includes demo, fabrication & installation of granite, purchase of sink and purchase of faucet, but not the slab itself, which we bought previously.)

The project was amazing, both in how smoothly it went and the quality of the work. We had studied the project for two years and had already gotten two other bids when we first talked to Steve. He listened to our ideas and then over a week helped us choose granite and tile in the process pointing out pitfalls and suggesting things from his vast experience. The personal attention was uncommon and very much appreciated.
It was more complex than one might imagine; one day for layout followed by approval, one day for the granite and one day for the tile, with the plumber working two days in the evening.
The workmanship was meticulous.They were punctual and very clean. Steve scheduled the subs so there were no delays waiting for work to be done. The finished project was breath taking,

 Steve H. said the work would begin on Thursday morning and be completed by the end of the day.  A neighbor told me that would never happen and even wanted to make a wager on it.

  I should have taken him up on the bet because it did happen...and to my complete satisfaction.

Steve (owner of Artisan Granite Countertops) and his Team did a masterful job - from start to finish - Steve is hands-on during each and every step of the process - from spending nearly several hours at our home during the initial estimate - explaining all details fully - to then meeting us based upon our schedule to select granite and then tile for our backsplash...from very precise measurements - to installation of granite - to tile backsplash install and yet another member of his Team (master plumber) perfoming the hook-up for plumbing - all steps in the process done with particular attention to detail and sound expertise at all levals - Steve's installers are professional from installation to clean up - with Steve super involved each step of the way - wish we could share pictures of the completed project - gorgeous - simply stunning! - We highly recommend Steve and Artisan Granite Countertops.

The project went very, very well.  We couldn't be more pleased with our new kitchen and bathrooms!  We were grateful for Steve & Val's personal time helping us decide on stone and backsplash styles.  They are very knowledgeable and offered their expertise where appropriate that would best fit our kitchen style and budget.  The guys were very respectful of our time and left little mess when they left for the day.

It was a very good experience. The man who owns the company was very knowledgeable about granite and his installers did an excellent job.

This was our second experience with Artisan Granite; in 2012, we hired the company, based on Angie's List reviews, to fabricate and install a granite countertop for our wet bar.  Because we were very pleased with the experience and the result, we hired them again for our much larger master bathroom project.
Steve was not only helpful in advising us on the selection of the stone; he was also flexible and understanding when we changed our minds at the last minute about the particular granite we wanted.  He promptly bought the slabs once we decided, and he held them in his workshop for weeks while we waited for the new cabinets to be made and installed for us.  (Steve recommended the cabinet maker, and we are delighted with the custom cabinets he made for us.)  
The countertops were installed within a week after the cabinets were installed, and they look better than we ever imagined.  The artistry in the fabrication is amazing -- the slabs were cut in huge pieces to maximize the flow of the stone.  (Our previous countertops had more individual pieces, which were not matched up so perfectly.)  And the back splash was carefully matched so that the different colored veins in the stone flow from the back splash to the countertop.  The result is a beautiful, totally integrated, serene look.
Steve also came to the rescue when problems developed with piping for the bathtub and the material underneath the tub once the old stone was removed.  He singlehandedly redid the nest for the bathtub with new material, much more secure than it was before, and he hired a plumber who redid the plumbing for us.  
It was a good experience and an even better result.

I needed a 28inx21in piece of granite installed for a small countertop and 4inch backsplash that was missed when the granite in the kitchen was installed. Steve was very responsive and called me back right away and emailed me over a quote the next morning. When I was ready I called and he came out the same day to measure. They came the following Monday and installed the counter and it looks great. Price was way less as they were able to find me a remnant piece while all the other companies I called were trying to charge me for an entire slab. Very professional all the way around. They even call to let you know they will be on time.

I got three estimates and chose to use Artisan Granite Countertops (Steve). From start to finish, Steve was responsive, professional, instructive, and congenial. When we met at the stone yard, after I'd picked out the couple of slabs I was interested in, Steve explained to me which ones had the better patterns for my kitchen, etc., which was very helpful. He was so right. He and his crew fabricated the stone I selected and installed the countertop. No problems. It turned out GORGEOUS. Artisan took care with the placement of the pattern, taking into account the most highly visible parts and the impact upon walking into the room.  I went with a leather finish, which Steve thought might look better with my old house and since I was concerned about the glossiness of granite, since I have windows shining on the main part of the countertop. There also happened to be a slab of leather finish in the particular granite I wanted.  Leather turned out to be perfect. The crew was excellent.  Great guys. The installation went smoothly.  When the sink was dropped in (I did a drop-in rather than undermount)...it fit like a dream.  This was a pleasant project from start to finish, at a reasonable cost, and with an absolutely gorgeous result. I would definitely use Artisan/Steve in the future. I also highly recommend Artisan to others.

Fantastic experience!!! Very highly recommend Artisan Granite Countertops. Steve L'Huillier, the owner, guided me and my husband throughout the entire process. He kept us updated and informed every step of the way. He even met with us at the granite as well as tile places to help us pick the best materials for our kitchen. He is very knowledgeable as well as highly professional. He made what can be an overwhelming process an enjoyable and easy one! We are very happy with our granite and backsplash. Our kitchen looks gorgeous! We feel like Steve gave us exactly what we were looking for. In many ways, he even exceeded our expectations. He is truly an artist. Artisan Granite had the best prices, and Steve was absolutely wonderful to work with!  We were remodeling our kitchen and doing most of the work ourselves, including demo, and he was very willing to work with our schedule so that it could all get done at the right time!  He also recommended John Curtin, of Northeast Tile, to do our backsplash, who we were happy with, as well.  Would highly recommend both.
