The company was hired to replace my kitchen counter tops and back splash. The installers showed up when scheduled and installed the granite and tile as agreed. The installers put down runners to protect my hardwood floors and cleaned up after themselves. They also hauled off the old counter tops instead of leaving them in from of my house. They did chip the edge of my granite but did send someone out to repair it and it looks good. The one negative that I can think of is that if you don't live in Dallas, it can be an issue selecting your granite slabs. I live in McKinney and the drive to the slab yards can take up to an hour depending on traffic. They close at 5 pm and are only open half a day on Saturday. It can be an issue if you have to work. Over all they did a good job and I am very happy with the final product."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/dallas/solid-stone-fabricators-llc-reviews-6249380.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Texas Granite and Tile","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Arthur G."},"reviewBody":"We went into Texas Granite and tile after my spoke with Shelly letting her know what she was looking for and the price range. Shelly said that yes they have that stone and gave her the price. We hurried down to talk with them but found out the price she gave us on the phone was not correct. We were informed that we had chosen a premium high quality stone that had just come in and the extra veining was what we wanted. We discussed how we would like it cut throughout the counters to show the veins. Shelly said no problem. Signed the contract even though it was more than we had planned on spending. Chose a slab to be delivered took pictures of it and waited for delivery. They showed up 3 hours late with no phone call to inform us that they would be late. I had to call to find out if it was still coming. I was not home when it was being installed but after it was all in, we noticed that it was not the same stone we picked out. WOW, no veins! So much for all the time we spent picking it out. We had made arrangements with her to have the installer take back my credit card info. I asked him as he finished if he had the paperwork for me to sign and he said no. My wife got a call 30 minutes after they left by Shelly letting us know if we didn't get her payment asap that she would have to go to her supervisor and take further actions. My wife had not even gotten home from work to look over the install. Unprofessional! We also noticed after they left that one of the pieces was cracked. Called Shelly and got a run around for over a week to get an answer about replacing the cracked piece. They finally brought by a piece to replace the only one that had some veins through it with a plain slab. Shelly was so excited that she had found the exact piece. Lie! The slab they delivered was a different shade and had a broken corner in front. We finally decided to keep the cracked piece and never to go back to them. We were threatened, lied to and also deceived by this company! This was supposed to be a 3 day job but it took from November to January to complete. At each stage, something was not done properly and had to be redone. The first day the old floor tile and cultured marble tub surround were to be removed. I had arranged for a plumber to come in afterward to install a new shower valve so they could begin installing the new tile the next day. When he arrived, I discovered they had not removed the cultured marble panels from around the tub so the plumber couldn't do his job. He had to wait an hour or so while Nadine's sent the crew back to finish the job. They also had not removed the linoleum that was under the floor tiles so I said something to the lead installer about that. He told me it wasn't necessary, but I told him that I had specifically requested that this be done and had paid extra for it. The grout between the old tiles had started to crack after a few years and I felt like it was because of the linoleum underneath. He said he would remove it the next day before starting installation. We discovered later that he did not - more about that later in this report. The 3 day job turned into a week and a half (at this stage, at least) because of poor workmanship. Things were not aligned properly and had to be removed and replaced. (We discovered later they were replaced with liquid nails instead of mortar.) The floor grout, which was green, was white in many places. Their installer first tried using a solution on the grout, saying it was designed to remove the white color from the grout. It looked even worse the next day. He wanted to paint the grout, but I told him I didn't pay to have painted grout and I wanted it done right. He removed and replaced the grout. I felt like I had to keep pushing to get a quality fix instead of a quick and inferior one. The plumber returned after the tile was installed to install the new tub fixture. He found the tile was covering the holes he needed to screw them into. He said there would be a problem with just removing that tile and replacing a new one because the cement backer board didn't come far enough down. There wasn't enough there to attach a smaller piece of tile to. The installer tried to tell me that the caulk around the fixture would keep any moisture out, so it wasn't necessary for the cement board to come right up to the shower fixture. Some of the shortcuts and poor quality work weren't discovered until later when much of what he did had to be torn out. Each problem discovered added more time to the installation process. Nadine's management did not give me any resistance as I requested that each problem I discovered be re-done. However, neither did they send someone out to see that the work was being done properly in the first place. They just let the same guy keep on doing inferior work. After a week and a half, the job was finally done. We cleaned up and got things in order in time for the holidays. However, after a few days of use, water started dripping onto our garage floor underneath that bathroom. We quickly discovered it was coming through whenever the toilet was flushed. I called Nadine's and they sent the same installer back out. The toilet was not sealed properly. Re-installation of the toilet had been part of the job and was done by the same crew that installed the tile. At my salesman's instruction, I had purchased an extender for them to use since our old tile had merely been installed around the toilet and the new tile would raise the height of the floor. The installer said they didn't need it and chose not to use it. He said they would just double the wax seal. When the toilet was removed after the leak, we discovered it had not even been touching the new seal they had installed when replacing the toilet. They had not used an extender or doubled the wax seal. Water had been leaking into the space between our bathroom and the garage below for more than a week. When the same installer was sent out (Nadine's again he needed to fix his own mistakes), he simply wanted to reinstall the toilet. I told him everything that got wet needed to be removed. He cut out about 4 sq. feet of garage ceiling and removed a little of the insulation. He assured me that there was nothing else up there that was wet. When my husband came home, he got up on the ladder and felt wet insulation immediately. I called Nadine's and told them I wanted a new installer and wanted this fixed properly. They agreed and sent a new person the next day. To make a very long story a little shorter, the next person they sent was much better. He was a subcontractor who had never worked for them before but seemed to really care about doing things correctly. He had to remove half the bathroom floor, the bathtub, the subfloor, and insulation. Half of the bathroom floor had to be taken down to the studs and was open to the garage for a week during the intensely cold week we had in January. We had him wash the studs with bleach water to sanitize them and then the reinstallation began. At the same time, he fixed a few other things that had not been done properly the first time (like the cement backer board around the tub fixture, etc.) The job that started in November was finally finished in January. During most of that time our house was a construction zone. I had to spend weeks at home in order to have the work done. There has been a great deal of extra work for us and a lot of wear and tear on our house. We still have to clean up after the drywall repairs in our garage and repaint that ceiling. Our new granite countertop has a couple of gashes in it from tools being put up there without anything to protect it. As I was replacing the baseboards after the second installation job, I looked down and saw my linoleum sticking out from under the edges of the tile. The first installer had not done that as he was supposed to either. Once again, I called Nadine's. I explained to Ishmael that I had specifically told the installer I wanted it removed and had paid for it to be removed. It was clearly written on my invoice. Ishmael first tried to tell me, as the installer had, that I didn't really need to have it removed. For the first time in all this, I got angry. I felt I had put up with a lot without complaining or getting upset. I had been firm but patient for three months while they did shoddy work, tore up my house to fix it, and monopolized my time and our upstairs for three months. Ishmael asked if I wanted them to tear out the floor and re-do it. After going through that twice already, I really didn't want to start another round. He offered to reimburse me what I paid for removal of the linoleum plus $50. After all we had been through because of them, I was offended by his offer. I was left in the position of either having to start again with having my bathroom floor torn out and replaced, or leaving it and possibly having to re-do it in a few years if this floor begins to crack like the old one did. I didn't like either option. Ishmael asked what it would take to make me happy, and I told him at this point, he would have to refund all my money to make me happy. He declined and asked me to call back the next day with another suggestion. I turned it around and told him to call me with one and he agreed. That was a month ago and I never heard from him again. Until this last episode, Nadine's had at least been willing to make things right. Although they had never been proactive about seeing that we were receiving a quality job. Now, however, they have apparently stopped doing even that. At this point, they haven't refunded the money we paid to have the linoleum removed, so they certainly haven't done anything to repay us for the time, extra work, and wear and tear on our home that their failure to do things right the first time cost us."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/plano/nadine-floor-company-reviews-219535.htm"},"position":7}]}

FAQs for marble and granite service projects in Corinth, TX
Installing a marble backsplash costs about $2,200 on average, ranging from $600 to $6,000, depending on the variety of marble and the labor costs to prep and install.
Common types of marble used for backsplashes include:
Makrana: $12 per square foot
Pink: $25 per square foot
Carrara: $40 per square foot
Statuatrio: $50 per square foot
Cultured: $65 per square foot
Travertine: $75 per square foot
Danby: $80 per square foot
Calacatta: $180 per square foot
Marble countertops cost$3,000 on average, ranging from about $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the type of marble, square footage, location, and whether you use tiles or slabs. Another major cost factor to consider is the grading of the marble, which determines its quality level.
Use this grading system when selecting marble for countertops:
Grade A: Nearly perfect with subtle veining
Grade B: Minor flaws such as pits, fissures, or blotches
Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair
Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors
Granite and marble compare well against each other in terms of price, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Deciding which one is better depends on your personal style and preference. Both materials resist damage like chips and cracks well. You should seal both material types against staining and etching, but they’re still susceptible if oil, wine, coffee, tomato sauce, or juice are left on the countertop long enough. As material and installation costs range similarly, the deciding factor is your budget, design, and preferences.
Installing granite kitchen countertops costs about $3,250, ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on the quantity and quality of the granite, use of granite tile or granite slabs, the type of granite, and its color and texture.
Varieties of granite include:
Alaska white: $35 per square foot
Ubatuba: $30–$60 per square foot
Silver cloud: $35–$40 per square foot
Absolute black: $45–$60 per square foot
Black galaxy: $50–$70 per square foot
Blue Louise: $70–$100 per square foot
Crema Bordeaux: $80 per square foot
Solarius: $60 per square foot
Overall, granite tends to cost more than marble. Prices for each material will fluctuate depending on the source of the stone, your location, shipping costs, and the thickness of the material. Labor to install marble or granite countertops typically ranges from $35 to $45 per hour.
Granite and marble tile and slab costs compare as follows:
Marble tile: $7–$10
Granite tile: $5–$15
Marble slab: $25–$60
Granite slab: $50–$100
