We have 18 Employees, and numerous installation crews. We require all jobs to be paid in full prior to installation. We have credit available to customers who are approved through GE Capital.

"Started off poorly. Once management was made aware, the communication improved temporarily, but ended where it started. The house was left a mess with plastic and tile bits everywhere. I took a picture abd showed them. Tile was missing and had to be reordered at their expense. Tile was laid in the wrong pattern (even though it was stipulated in the contract), and so it had to be pulled up and relaid. Overall, a really bad experience."

"At first, everyone seems nice and very genuine. Their price is very fair and so my husband and I have decided to go with them and put a half down for the renovation of my daughter's bathroom upstairs. It was when the nightmare has started. To make the story short, my expensive wood floors were scratched pretty badly and the walls were dented everywhere. The new tub was too wide and they moved it twice up and down the stair. I'm a homemaker and I stay at home all the time and no one tells me anything when my finish their work they just left. I have to ask them what was going on and they lied about the tub has a bubbly stuff on the surface of the tub so they have to change a new tub. But why do they have to move the tub up and down the stairs twice. I noticed it after they have gone and I went upstairs and saw that they have to cut the sheet rocks and tile floors to make the tub fit. At the same, creating a few dust bombs along the way. They did not come and measure the tub, just assuming the tub to be default in sizes only the length of the tub is different. But my house is twenty years old. I don't think the default sizes apply to us. There's no communication, no coordination, no supervision. So frustrating that I'm the one who is alway contacting them and asking about the updates and progress of the renovation. The plumbers are the worst. After they have left, I found trash everywhere including water bottles. They treat my house for a construction site! And if there's a delay. Good luck in getting them back to work on your house because they have to be booked 10 days in advance. The wood repair guys to use my bathroom without asking and leave a mess after (urine on the toilet and floor)! They have also changed things without informing you. Dakota too has said to build us a sit at the end of the tub (because now they changed the tub to a shorter one). But turned out to be like a table as my daughter puts it. And he has refused to change it until my husband had convinced him to do so. The project according to them takes about 4-5 days to finish. However, it stretches to almost a month including the waiting of the repair guys to show up. We have a dateline and have made known to them earlier but when I called Jim to ask him why no one shows up to work and to remind him of the dateline. His reply was that you're not the one who's kid is about to go back to school in College Station. I mean maybe I am. How many 20 years old still lives at home with their parent! Lol ..... Also, they said they can cover my daughter's bathroom big window to a smaller one. But it turns out to be very ugly from the outside of the window and too that the window is built crooked. They can only do small renovation. They can't build a long niche my husband wanted. I can still go on but I think you get the picture. Regretted! We wanted another renovation for our master bathroom. But I don't think we would be using them."

Carpet and water remediation company with a fleet of 20 truck mounted units. Professional trained technicians. Offer residential and commercial services, insurance jobs welcome.

"This is a strong warning against ever doing business with The Steamery, Inc. in Bryan/College Station or Rob Willis for any cleaning or repairs services at your home or business. The Steamery, Inc in Bryan/College Station . was contracted by my daughter’s apartment complex to clean her vent covers due to mold/mildew forming on them. The resulting chaos of the “criminal acts” of their technician and the aggressive and dismissive nature of the owner/management was something I have NEVER experienced before with ANY service company. My daughter called me late in the evening of 9/1/20 hysterical that someone had broken into her home, but this was not the case. What had happened was that The Steamery, Inc. Technician had gone through her dresser drawers and nightstands. He pulled out several phone cords and left them on the floor, possibly for his personal use. He went through her closets (doors left open) as if he were “casing her place”. He had knocked her couch pillows onto the floor, in addition to several other items off her entertainment cabinet onto the floor as well. My daughter said it literally looked as if someone had ransacked her apartment. The work performed was VERY SUB-PAR and disgusting. It appeared that he did not bring his own equipment or ladder to perform the required task. He attempted to use her broom to knock the mold/mildew off the vent covers. Thus, spreading it all over her floors. He did not even put the broom back. He left it by the front door. When the broom did not work, he climbed up on my daughter’s bed and stood on her comforter and pillows with his dirty shoes in order to remove the vent cover. It literally looked as if they ripped the vent cover right out of the ceiling. While this was going on; he must have been smoking in her apartment and placed a lit cigarette on the edge of her dresser. He must have forgotten about the lit cigarette because it and burnt down and left a burn mark on the top of her dresser. The hot ashes from this lit cigarette then fell on the floor as there were brand new burn marks on the carpet. He then proceeded to go through her kitchen drawers and cabinets to find something to use to clean the vent covers. He ended up using the cleaning brush for her new juicer! He “cleaned” the covers under the kitchen sink faucet, splattering and spreading the water, mold, and mildew all over her backsplash, counters, and floor. You guessed it; he did not even clean the contaminated mess up. To add insult to injury, when I contacted the owner of The Steamery, Inc. in Bryan/College Station to express my disgust and displeasure in the way they performed their services, instead of an understanding and eager to make things right business owner; I was confronted by a very rude and standoffish business owner. Rob Willis was VERY AGGRESSIVE and RUDE. He told me I WAS NOT his customer, that the apartment complex was. He also belittled me by saying that I was “a helicopter mom” to my 19-year-old daughter and that “I should let her handle this”. After getting nowhere with him, I contacted the Apartment Manager. To his MINIMAL credit and at the request of the Apartment Manager, he went to my daughter’s apartment to meet with the Apartment Manager and my daughter to “investigate her claims”. This turned out to be a complete waste of time because he took ZERO responsibility for the actions of his technician. It is sad that a company can make a customer feel as if ransacking their home, damaging their property, and leaving them with the feeling of be violated is okay. The Apartment Manager, however, is doing her best to make things right on their end and we really appreciate that. I would NEVER do business with The Steamery, Inc. in Bryan/College Station or Rob Willis and suggest you think long and hard before you allow anyone from that company into your home or business. I plan on posting this review and pictures everywhere I can and will be alerting the BBB as well."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

What a buyer prefers usually depends on the home’s layout and which material fits the current aesthetic. The local real estate market can also dictate these desires to some extent, as do the buyer’s personal preferences. With that said, laminate can increase the resale value of a home by a tiny bit, whereas carpet does not. Hardwood increases the resale value by the highest amount.

Installation typically takes 1-2 days, depending on the area size and preparation needed.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.

The life span of carpet in a home with children and animals depends on factors like the carpet material’s quality, how frequently you clean and maintain it, and the level of foot traffic. On average, carpets need to be replaced every five to 15 years. Signs of wear, matting, or persistent odors may indicate that it's time to contact a local flooring company to replace your carpet.

When it comes to flooring installers, licensing laws vary from state to state. Even if your state doesn’t require your flooring installer to have a license, your municipality or city might, so it’s a good idea to check with your town before getting started. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines.

Hiring an unlicensed flooring installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
