The crew arrived promptly on the morning the project began. Sheet plastic was taped over doorway openings surrounding entry way to close off the work space. Pathways of floors and stairway were protected with taped down heavy duty brown paper. Bathroom toilets & pedestal sink were disconnected & put aside. Carpet was ripped out of both bath areas. Old entryway tile was broken up with little jack hammer and removed. Membrane was spread on all surfaces to "float" the tile. AND the tile was laid in all areas... all this on the first day. Entry and 1/2 bath were laid in a staggered pattern and the full bath in a straight pattern... both beautifully done. Second day two workers arrived to grout but realized the premixed grout was different from what the contract specified. The store assistant located the correct color in powder form at a local retail store and the job was begun. Grouting under the white wall molding was problematic, resulting in bleeding of the dark color up onto the edge and in the crevices of the white molding. Remedy will necessitate paint touchup later after floors dry. In after thought I have wondered why the moldings were not taped off with painters tape to protect them from the dark grout... maybe concern about the grout adhering to the tape and resulting in rough surfaced grout when tape pulled away. We were instructed not to allow the dogs to walk over tile as nails could make holes in soft grout. Drying time... 72 hours. Four days later, early a.m., the office assitant applied sealant to the grout and cleaned the moldings as best she could. But touch-up painting still necessary. Forster Tile made every effort to please, and had we insisted I believe they would have done the touch-up painting. But we chose to do the painting ourselves. I used them for the carpet that I had on the floor for years. I was just really disappointed in their customer service. So there was no way I was going to go with them, it was too risky. Whereas the customer service of the company I went with was incredibly good. Their price was slightly better, but not enough to take the risk. I ended up paying the other company just under $7000. What Discount Floors quoted me was under that by approximately $500. It was not enough to take the risk. I had wood laminate put down in major parts of my house and then carpet in the two remaining bedrooms. So I picked out a laminate with them and then said, \"Now, here are my parameters for carpet that I'm looking for.\" The representative just said, \"Well, there is the carpet sample. Have at it.\" No help, whatsoever. I went back again because on my own I picked out a carpet that I just thought, \"This is more expensive than is necessary and deeper pile that I need. Let me see what else I can find.\" I got a bit more help from another representative. But while I was there, the original guy was there when I went back to find a better carpet sample for my need. He was very polite. He was sitting at his desk and he said, \"I've got a customer I'm working on right now and another in the store.\" So like I'd be third in line. \"Do you mind waiting?\" I said, \"No, that's fine.\" Then he had, to their credit, another salesman assist me in looking at other carpet samples. But then he got a phone call. The receptionist went to him and said, \"You have a call from so and so.\" The guy said, \"Well, tell him I'll call him back.\" She must have said, \"You need to take this call. This guy is really angry.\" Because then I overheard his end of the call in which he was going, \"Sir, I'm not trying to put you off\" So clearly it was a really angry customer. That, together with my experience just sealed it. There was no way I was going to take a risk. I think even without that angry phone call, I just was reluctant. Dealing with the public is difficult. So if it were just the phone call that would have been one red flag, but I already had my own red flag in dealing with them. Whereas the company I went with, I had a similar thing. I had picked out a carpet and then I thought, \"This carpet is slightly more expensive than the laminate. So it must be of higher quality.\" So I called the woman I had dealt with and I said, \"I would like to see what some alternatives would be that would cover my needs\" Because I have cats, I wanted something that was going to be not only stain resistant but would hide any stain residue as well. When I went over there after that call, she had picked out some samples. She had them ready for me. She was with another customer, so another sales person helped me look through those. Everything I requested they did. I'm real sensitive to chemical odors. So I know new carpet with the glue and with chemicals and all of that was going to be just really bad. Once I signed the contract, I called back and said, \"Is there anyway you can air out the carpet?\" She said, \"Let me figure out how to do that. We'll do our best.\" She was concerned about unrolling it in their warehouse because it would get dirty. But when the men brought it in, it was folded. It was not rolled. Clearly, it had been aired out. Somehow the fumes dissipated pretty quickly. I was just very pleased with them. The guy from Discount Floors who came to measure was certainly punctual and professional enough."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/bryan/discount-floors-reviews-5503720.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"ZWERNEMANN FLOORING","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Lucy H."},"reviewBody":"Zwernemann Flooring did a truly excellent job installing my new floor. They were prompt and responsive in giving me their estimate, unlike some other flooring installers here in Bryan. The office staff is pleasant, prompt and friendly. When their installer arrived to begin putting down the floor, he discovered the slab wasn't level at all and needed to be floated. Greg Zwernemann, the owner, was here at the house within 15 minutes. He said this happens perhaps once in every hundred jobs. They HAD to fix the wavy slab - can't put a new floor on an uneven surface. It took 70 bags of self-leveling concrete. Greg gave me a break on the cost. He said he wasn't making any profit on this part of the job. I want to point out that, although the total cost was quite high, their charges for installation were extremely reasonable. Most of the cost was because I chose to install walnut flooring, which is among the most expensive on the market. Then, when I was moving in, the movers caused a significant amount of damage to MY BRAND NEW FLOOR. They dragged furniture instead of carrying it. The moving company tried every which way to weasel out of accepting responsibility. Greg interceded on my behalf and got them to make it right. The repair work was done so well you would never even guess the floor had been damaged. Another thing they did was send Hugo to put down a few tiles that were needed when I pulled some cabinets in order to have a gas range installed in place of an electric cooktop. Hugo was here for maybe 15 minutes. Perfect tile installation. Gosh, he's good! I'm contemplating a bathroom remodel and if that comes to pass I will specify Hugo from Zwernemann for the tile work.

Jose and his crew were professional, reliable, on time, very honest, and did great work. We had a leak in an upstairs room and thought it was the roof. Joseâ s crew looked at it and said the roof was fine; it was coming in from a leaky window/siding. They fixed it and the leak is gone....
Tod removed from our kitchen an outdated ceiling light box and replaced it with recessed, dimmable LED lights. He took care protecting the kitchen cabinets and floor and was especially careful removing the light box from the ceiling. He matched the texture pattern in the light box area so it...

FAQs for epoxy flooring service projects in Centerview, TX
The cost of an epoxy floor is $2,430 on average, ranging from $730 to $5,300. Factors that impact the overall cost include the total square footage, the type of epoxy, and any decorative options.
The epoxy flooring cost in a one-car garage is $720 to $2,900. However, that cost jumps to $1,100 to $4,300 for a two-car garage, which is 360 square feet on average. Adding decorative flakes to your flooring costs roughly $10 per 250-pound bag, but if you want metallic epoxy, that’ll cost you between $5 and $12per square foot.
An epoxy floor can last between 10 and 20 years, depending on the material and its frequency of use. Factors like heavy foot traffic, sunlight exposure, and the weight of vehicles on it impact the overall longevity.
To ensure your floor lasts as long as possible, clean it often, as debris buildup can scratch the epoxy. Remember never to use any kind of rough pads, only a soft mop, to avoid scratches as well. In addition, if your epoxy coating needs repair, it’s best to repair it as quickly as possible to avoid more significant damage.
Since epoxy products are hazardous to handle, it’s best to leave this job to a professional epoxy flooring contractor. These flooring professionals will have the appropriate protective gear to stay safe during the application process and will use the correct tools needed for the job. In addition, if not correctly applied, the epoxy won’t harden correctly, causing performance issues. Hire a professional epoxy flooring contractor to guarantee a smooth, even finish for your flooring.
Spills like water, oil, or grease can wear down the epoxy's strength, lowering its lifespan. While this damage doesn’t happen immediately, it can accumulate over time, so cleaning up any garage spills as soon as they happen is essential. Avoid cleaning with or using dish soap on your epoxy floors since they will leave an unattractive residue. Instead, you can use half of a cup of ammonia diluted with a gallon of water for cleaning purposes.
Flooring professionals can typically apply epoxy within one or two days, depending on how much preparation or repair the old floor needs before application. However, you’ll need to wait after the application is complete to use the flooring. While you can walk on the epoxy flooring before it fully cures, it can take up to 72 hours for the epoxy floor to fully dry and be ready for full use.
