"okay, but not great. For the wiring, he just changed the bulbs, which I provided. Was unable to fix the wall outlet. In the process, he broke the wall switch. Had to replace it with a different switch, which I don't like as well. I didn't realize until after he left that he had installed it backwards. I can live with it, but it's inconvenient."

He realized that he had underbid it which is why the other people charged more because there was fiddly stuff on the porch, it wasn't just slapping big pieces up. It was down to the fine detail work. He didn't ask for more but I paid him more. He's a one man everything. He pretty much works by himself. There were a couple day he sent some apprentices or something not to do the fine detail work. We told him we were under a deadline, we had to have it done by a certain date for bank stuff. He worked from first light until dark every day he could. There was day he was sick or had a family emergency and he still made the deadline. He really felt strongly about doing a good job and doing what he promised."
