"William, Carl and thier crew are first rate. The quality of thier work is incredible. They are accomodating, professional, and are very fair with their pricing. The construction quality was so good on my bungalo that was built a year and a half ago, I decided to have the patio enclosed as well which was recently completed. I have braging rights in my neighborhood now. Very soon they will be replacing all th exterior of my home with "Hardywood" and painting. Please include these folks a try with you bidding process.I am very happy I found them. Joseph S."

"Bordeaux Luxury Homes did a phenomenal job on our remodel. Rick told us weekly what to expect and they delivered. Carissa made the job of picking out faucets, countertops, and all the “pretty necessities” fun. Thank you for all the hard work and hand holding! We love our new home!"

"Andrew & his team were very fair on price & transparent on costs. The home remodel was beautiful & had our house standing out against the competition while on the market. First contractor that we have hired to do the job correctly. Thank you."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Excellent in all aspects of the Job. I purchased a Greenhouse kit. It was done professionally, and he oversaw the installation of the electrical. He performed much like the general contractor on every phase of the job including some of the necessary landscaping needs to make sure all looked absolutely beautiful."

"We understood Rick would be difficult to get in contact with.  He offered a very nice Big Deal that we accepted, so needless to say he has been slammed over the past several weeks.  Note that is the only reason I marked "responsiveness" as B instead of A, but that is something I would not expect from his day to day business.
We scheduled an appointment with Rick and he arrived 5 minutes early.  He assessed the situation and immediately repaired/adjusted ~8 doors in the house.  He had to make a quick run to Home Depot to pick up supplies to reseal the bottom of 5 exterior doors.  Rick was very efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and provided feedback on areas we need to consider improving (i.e. we had some wood rot due to a lack of proper sealing, etc).
I highly recommend Nature's Haven Builders.

Home Building questions, answered by experts

An A-frame home can be cheaper to build than a traditional house, but that is not always a given. Prices can be fairly similar in some cases, depending on the location, design, and necessary site preparation. Costs for an A-frame typically run between $100 to $200 per square foot, which is comparable to the cost of a traditional home. The cost of an A-frame can come in under those numbers if you opt for a prefabricated kit.

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

Modular homes can go up or down in value depending on a few factors. In areas where real estate is appreciating, the value of modular homes is likely to increase, and vice versa. Additionally, the value of modular homes depends partially on the area. In cities where every other home is stick-built, modular homes might be considered a functional obsolescence, in which case they could be less desirable and go down in value. In either case, though, modular homes can still be a good investment, especially since they provide housing at a lower upfront cost.

How long it takes to build a custom home or rebuild a home after a disaster varies depending on many factors, but averages between seven and 14 months. Smaller homes or homes that don’t need a re-poured foundation may take less time to build than larger homes or homes without an existing foundation. Material availability, contractor schedules, and permit and inspection timelines can all affect how long your house takes to build.

Handypeople usually don’t hold trade licenses, so they typically aren’t qualified to tackle projects involving installing or making alterations to plumbing or electrical lines. Below are some jobs that a handyperson usually won’t be able to complete:

  • Installing plumbing for a new kitchen or bathroom

  • Replacing plumbing pipes

  • Installing or repairing septic systems

  • Running new electrical wiring

  • Installing a subpanel
