From calling 811 to mark utilities to hauling away the old slabs, they took care of it all. - Quality Workmanship: They meticulously prepped the ground, put in rebar for reinforcement, and then poured and finished the concrete flawlessly. - Speedy Turnaround: The entire process, from initial contact to installation, took only a week! - Value: Value: JFB Concrete offered a very reasonable price for the excellent work they performed. Overall, JFB Concrete provided a fantastic experience. Their professionalism, expertise, and efficiency made the entire repair process stress-free. "My home needed a new 400-foot driveway cut and installed in a hurry. Josh was there just a day after I called, with an estimate on the spot. 4 days later, it was done! He even beat the rain! Josh was very easy to work with, had a price that fit into my budget, and provided excellent results. Thanks Josh!"

Small jobs welcome

"The crew showed up on time and went right to work. They removed four large trees close to the house and cleaned everything up when they were done. They were fast and efficient. After this job was completed, I took them over to another property to haul away some brush and cut down some smaller trees. This wasn't scheduled but they did it on the spot and the homeowner was pleased. Their prices are very reasonable, and I will call them first if I have any jobs they can do in the future."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Since freeze-thaw cycles throughout the winter months can damage your driveway, it's best to winterize your driveway in the late fall before the first freeze hits. Doing so will help to protect your driveway from damage throughout the winter season. Plus, drier, warmer weather makes applying and curing sealant much easier.

The ideal PSI (pounds per square inch) for a pressure washer depends on the surface you are cleaning. For general home use, a pressure washer with a range of 2,000 to 3,000 PSI is recommended and powerful enough for most residential projects.

The specific PSI you should use varies by task:

  • High-Pressure Tasks (2,500-3,000 PSI): Tough materials like concrete, stone, masonry, and brick can handle higher pressures. This is suitable for removing stubborn stains from driveways or cleaning graffiti.

  • Low-Pressure Tasks (around 600-1,300 PSI): Softer surfaces require a gentler touch to avoid damage. Use a low PSI setting for cleaning wood decks (especially softwoods like pine and cedar), vinyl siding, outdoor furniture, and stucco.

For best results, choose the right nozzle for your surface, such as a 15-degree nozzle for siding or a surface cleaner attachment for driveways. Using an extendable wand can also make the work easier and more ergonomic.

Concrete does well with a number of cleaning agents, as it’s a durable material. Choose from acidic cleaners, alkaline cleaners, and pH-neutral cleaners, in addition to antibacterial solutions. Your best bet is to simply read the fine print with your preferred detergent and make sure it mentions concrete as a viable surface.

Pressure washing your driveway can prevent cracks in it since it removes grease and oil, which, if left on the driveway for too long, can break down compounds in concrete and asphalt, leading to cracks. It can also help keep driveway weeds, moss, mold, and mildew at bay while boosting your home's curb appeal.

On average, pressure washing a house can take anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours. The time frame to pressure wash or power wash your home, fence, or other property depends on the size of the project and the complexity and accessibility of the areas that need cleaning. Part of the time required to complete the job includes setup and removal of equipment needed. A two-story house with a steep roof may require working from scaffolding or a ladder, likely adding to the time required to finish the project.
