"My family and I started the process of getting a generator back in May. We signed the necessary documents and work began the beginning of June. The main purpose of us getting a generator was for us to no longer be without power during Texas horrible storm season. We have an elderly disabled veteran and now a 9-month-old that resides here so it was imperative that we got the generator. This business lacks communication and accountability! We had to reach out several times in order for them to complete this process. After Hurricane Beryl left us without power for four days, they finally came and completed the job. NOW..we have a d*** gas leak!!! We called them regarding this and they made it seem as if this was normal and would send someone out to look. That never happened. Our neighbor ended up calling Centerpoint due to smelling gas and that's when it was discovered that we had a gas leak. This could've ended tragically for my family and myself and even the neighborhood. Since Centerpoint was here, they did end up shutting off the generator. So now we're back to square one with no generator and no phone call from when this matter will be resolved from the d*** company after I've made several phone calls, text messages, and emails."

"A guy from the company that contacted ShayLian came to our home and told us that the black stuff we had in our ducts and on our vents is “extremely unsafe” and that there was mold involved. We decided to go with them because their website said that our home would be left in “PRESTINE CONDITION”, “REMAIN A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT”, “NO DEBRIS WILL RE-ENTER THE HOME”, ETC. The next day a ShayLian crew came to our home and worked for half a day, and right after they left, we noticed that this “extremely unsafe” black stuff had started raining from our vents and was coating everything in our home. My wife called them immediately to explain the situation and insisted that we REALLY needed some help ASAP. We were assured that someone would respond very quickly even though it was the end of the work day. A ShayLian crew member called my wife the next day after many hours of crying, frantic cleaning and stressing about the health of our two small children, and he laughed about the situation and said that what we were describing “shouldn’t be happening”. He said he would come check it out later that same day and call us when he was on his way over. We agreed and were anxiously waiting. In the meantime, my wife texted him a couple videos of the black junk that had settled on various surfaces of our home, then he never showed up or even called, and we haven’t heard from him sense. Meanwhile we were still stuck frantically cleaning and stressing for the next couple days while this “extremely unsafe” black stuff continued to rain through our vents with still no help or response from anyone at ShayLian. The black dust finally stopped pouring out of our vents after a couple days and it all seemed to have settled, but we were still in desperate need of having all this “extremely unsafe” mess cleaned up as quickly as possible and nobody from ShayLian was responding to our many calls and emails. We called multiple cleaning services and found only one that said they could come the next morning, so we agreed and left our unsafe and disgusting home. The cleaners started in the morning and it took them the entire day. When they finished, they told us that it was “something they have never experienced before”, and that they produced 8 buckets of black water while doing the cleaning. Meanwhile we had been forced to occupy our two small children out of the house for multiple days without being able to plan ahead of time, which has its own costs and troubles associated. Our two-year-old daughter then became sick with a high fever and vomiting for a couple days after all of this (may or may not be related, but you can imagine what we suspect and why…). Luckily we thought to cancel the checks before these scam artists could cash them in. ShayLian never did anything to make this right or reimburse us for the cleaning, etc. They have completely ignored us through all of this even though we have photos, videos, witnesses, invoices and other records proving it all, which we sent them multiple times. We have tried emailing and calling many many times. They made a bad situation 10x worse then left us alone to completely take care of it all ourselves. WOW! Any good reviews they have must be fake. We are working on taking legal action."
