"Sam and JJ from Madd Air arrived at my house within an hour of when I put the service call in. After saying our hello's they went right to work and had the diagnoses with 5 minutes. They fixed the problem and even repaired some mis-wirings from a previous company I used a few years back. Sam showed me the wiring issue and how he is going to fix it. They were done within 30 minutes of arriving. Sam and JJ were very courteous and professional. I will always recommend Madd Air to any of my friends and family. Make sure you ask for Sam."

"I had a broken furnace (old, has exceeded its designed lifespan). Called in early @ 0900. Customer service was informative and professional. Reservation availability was 1 week. However, I asked to be on the wait list, and a technician was able to respond the same day. The technician was also informative and professional. He was able to do a quick repair and provide us set an objective expectation regarding the remaining lifespan of our unit. We've used their company before for a garage HVAC replacement and will continue to use it in the future. At the risk of sounding like a commercial... You might find a cheaper provider but you wont find one offering better value for your money than Clean air pro. We've used other providers when working through a home warranty service. The alternative companies didn't yield quality results, just temporary fixes."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

For washable or electrostatic air conditioner filters, you can soak and rinse them with water. If you rinse the filter with water, make sure to use a faucet, shower head, or garden hose with a gentle water pressure setting, as strong water pressure could damage the filter.

But for disposable filters, water could ruin the filter, even allowing mold to grow in the filter. Instead, these filters should be replaced.

Yes, HVAC zoning systems offer energy savings by allowing precise temperature control in different zones in your home. Rather than conditioning the whole house uniformly, these systems direct airflow where needed, preventing energy waste. Tailoring comfort to specific areas reduces energy consumption and lowers utility costs, making HVAC zoning an energy-efficient choice.

You will enjoy greater energy efficiency and save on your annual energy bills, with new, modern HVAC systems using 30% to 50% less energy than older models. Upgrading your HVAC system is also a great way to embrace new technology, such as smart thermostats, lighting, fan speed, and humidity from your phone or tablet.

If you’re trying to buy a new AC unit, there are a few crucial factors to consider. Look at the cooling capacity, the available warranty, the energy efficiency, and the type of unit. A ductless unit will cost more up front but may be a more viable option if you don’t already have ductwork. Additionally, a unit with better energy efficiency will cost less to run overall, saving you money on your monthly energy bill.

Running a window air conditioner unit costs about $0.06 to $0.88 per hour. Choosing the correct size air conditioner can help it run more efficiently.
