Eric was very professional. As a matter of fact, we requested him because he had done another job for us. With that being said, we were charged $599 to REPLACE a faucet and drain cover. We supplied the faucet. Will probably not be using Village Plumbing again.

The tech that did my work was friendly, professional and helpful, but at the end of the day, the initial quote they provided me was outrageous. Almost $1900 to install two toilets I was supplying is robbery. When I questioned this rate, the tech was able to call someone and get the price down to $1220, which is still high in my opinion for two toilet installations that took less than 2 hours. As a comparison, Home Depot charges $185-$400 for toilet installs depending on the complexity and requirements. Again, the tech was great, this review is not bad because of him. This review is negative because of the initial insane price and the reduced still bonkers price to install two toilets.

There’s already a $79 cost for the technician to come out, which is a reasonable cost. However, I am really disturbed that it cost $399 to suck out the gunk in my AC drain, and it took only a couple of minutes. I could have hired a handiman to do it for next to nothing. That's highway robbery ! The technician didn’t even look at where the water leaked through my ceiling to ensure no mold sets in. I had to ask him to Look and at least spray the area with the mold spray I gave him. I also had to ask him to check the drain pan for any leaks, cracks, etc. fur that price, he could have checked the area for any more possible related issues. Lesson learned: always ask a handiman/ person to check for problems before calling a rip off AC company.

Village Plumbing has a wonderful staff, excellent dispatch operations, and their technician, Jeremy did an outstanding job of isolating a perplexing problem — which turned out to be a surprise. The final solution was to replace a faulty bathroom faucet. But the quote of $500 to do the installation was a shock and a no-go. I still can't believe the price, but called the office and verified it was no mistake. They haven't yet charged me for Jeremy's visit, which I'm happy to pay. But at that price, I (sadly) won't call them again.

Horribly. They charged me $13,000 to replace the pipe from my meter to my home and they assured me that they would leave the yard in the same condition that they found it. I agreed to pay this since I was going out of town for several months and needed water at my house. They were paid immediately. Upon returning to my home, I was told by my Water Authority that my irrigation system had been turned off when Village Plumbing did the repairs. As a result, I lost 51 plants and a 20 ft. Polacka Holly tree. Replacement of the dead plants amounted to $9000+ Village Plumbing realized that they were responsible but "they" wanted to replace the plants (with no warrantee on the life of the plants) rather then pay for my yardmen, who would provide a one year warrantee, to replace the plants. To date, they have not compensated me for any of the dead plants and tree.

The plumbers ultimately fixed what needed to be fixed but communication-wise, it was a terrible experience – I would not recommend them to anyone. If you decide to utilize Village Plumping – be prepared for them to not call you back when they say they will, be prepared to have to follow-up on the project for it to be completed, be prepared for them to no-show a project after promising to send someone out to remedy a situation, be prepared to have to pay for the project even though it’s not completed, be prepared for trash to be left, JUST BE PREPARED TO BE LIED TO ON MANY OCCASIONS – even if you spend over $10,000+ with them.

Village Plumbing and Air came to my grandmother's home. She is 81 years of age. After attempting to 'repair' the unit, which we already knew needed replacement, they were going to charger her approximately $200 for this service, but offered to 'waive' that fee if she had them install a new unit. They recommended their top product of course, which they told her was of superior everything. The previous model was an Insinkerator Badger 500 1/2 hp disposal. The model they installed was an Insinkerator Pro 750 3/4 hp disposal. The only upgrades were from galvanized steel to stainless, 1/2 hp to 3/4, and the Pro had a more robust sound dampening. They told her that the old unit was aluminum, that it was a 'cheap' make, that the old one would rust if it already hadn't but that this new one wouldn't, and that the new one worked 'differently' from a cheap disposal and was therefore better. I'm not arguing that it was an upgrade, though their claims were more than a little off the mark. The problem comes in what they charged her. The Pro 750 costs $279 if you buy it retail. We all know that a company does not buy their products retail, they buy wholesale. They charged my grandmother, initially, $865.33. They then told her she would get a discount if she signed up for their annual membership. This brought the price down to $786.66. That is a 181.9% markup from the *retail* price of the unit. They also charged her $99 for their membership. Meaning her total was $885.66. That's $20.33 more than the initial gouging. The membership includes x2 visual inspections of the HVAC unit per membership, x1 visual inspection of the drain lines and faucets per membership year, reduced weekend/holiday fees, and reduced service prices. But they did give her 'free' installation. I have attempted speaking to someone at the company but so far have just been sent directly to voicemail with no return response. So in a nutshell if you're considering this company? Run. Run away to *anybody* else, and burn the path so they can't follow you.

I'm writing to amend my previous review in which I complained about the high price for a simple job to unclog my shower drain. The company contacted me to amend the price which I gratefully accepted. My assessment is that Village Plumbing is quite possibly the top of the line for plumbing repair in this area, and as such they charge premium prices to maintain their knowledgeable, well-trained, and courteous staff; their extensive fleet of vehicles and equipment; and their dominance of the market share. There are times when quality at all cost is the primary concern. If so, then Village Plumbing should be your first call.

technician made incorrect diagnosis and I was charged $360 and the machine was still not working. First they said they would provide a refund and then they said, we will apply what you paid to the cost of a new machine. I don't want a new machine, can't afford a new machine. They should have told me this when they made the diagnosis. They were here four times and its still not fixed.

THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY REVIEW OF 7/5/2018 After reading my original review, the management contacted me directly in addition to responding here on Angie's List. We had a frank and honest discussion about the situation, and they offered what I consider to be a completely fair resolution. This confirms my opinion of their quality and re-establishes my confidence in their commitment to high quality customer service . My revised ratings are attached to this review.

Let me preamble this by saying that I know nothing about toilets. A repairman came to my house and let me know that the flapper on my toilet was broken. He followed up by saying that there wasn't a replacement part and would have to replace the entire flush system. I didn't think much of it, till it happened again to another one of my toilets. I went to Home Depot and found countless replacement parts for $15. The lack of professionalism and the willingness to con a customer by David Ibarra is borderline criminal.

We were very pleased with Village Plumbing and the team lead they sent out. We trust that they will take care of us in the future. The french drain project was sub contracted out. It was a little messy and incomplete. The representative from Village Plumbing did his best to make it right.

I am very demanding about the quality I expect from the folks I hire to do things. This was my first experience with Village and I can tell you that it won't be my last. They communicated well, the knowledge of the tech was outstanding, he answered my questions honestly and directly, was patient with my rambling, and made great suggestions without coming on as trying to sell me something. In this day and age, finding A plus players in the service industry is getting harder and harder but rest assured that Village is one of them.

They were professional. They were on time. They were punctual. They were nice. But they wanted to charge me a lot of money and just sell me stuff. Should have been a minor fix but instead they wanted to sell me stuff. I lost trust in them. I wanted faucets replaced and they wanted me to get cabinets etc.

They came out and took a look at system and oh my goodness you need a whole new air conditioning unit it is going to cost about ten thousand dollars. They said it was urgent and I really needed to do it right away. I said thanks and he said here is the information with the bill for looking at it now. I had someone else come out and save me eight thousand dollars. I think they do a good job they just want to sell you stuff. They were on time and punctual but just to sell me something.
