"Thank you take air I suffer for a long time from allergies ,I was recommended by a friend to do an indoor air quality test so I did. The specialist came on time and was very knowledgeable, he went overall the test reasoltswithme and made sure I understood. There was particles in the air in the house that digested there was mold. I scheduled a followup appointment with take air for a visual inspection and that found that the hvac system was filled with dost and mold discoloration , we scheduled a day to get the full service done and we are extremely satisfied with the results, the service. The technician was very nice and professional. I fully recommend this company !!!! Thank you"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

To lower humidity quickly, run a dehumidifier or your home's air conditioner or turn on exhaust fans to extract moisture. These methods can quickly and effectively bring your home's humidity levels to a comfortable condition. However, you should consistently practice humidity-reducing tasks to maintain proper indoor humidity levels.

Turn your system off when you're toasty or when you're out to prevent unnecessary wear. Using the timer on your thermostat so that it switches off when it reaches a certain temperature or turns on just before you get back from work is best. An annual maintenance contract can be helpful to ensure your system receives these important services at regular intervals.

You can run an HRV with air conditioning—assuming that you decide to keep the system on during the summer. The HRV will continue to bring in fresh outdoor air, which will then flow into your AC unit and cool down your home. It will also keep moving the stuffy indoor air out of your house.

If refrigerant levels are low, it can cause the evaporator coil to freeze up. Low freon causes a drop in pressure, which will make the coil too cold and cause moisture to freeze on the coil. Your system may be low on refrigerant because of a leak

Make sure to have maintenance performed twice a year, and contact your local HVAC technician if you suspect your system has low freon levels.

It all depends on the unit’s SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio). A higher SEER rating means better efficiency and lower costs for your energy bills.

Take a look at the product you’re considering purchasing and compare it to other models to decide which one is affordable upfront but will keep your energy costs low over time.
