Edge Roofing and Remodeling

Over the past 10-12 years, Edge Roofing has twice replaced our house’s roof roofs that had been damaged by hail storms. They did an excellent job both times. Their crews did a good job daily cleaning up roofing debris and also at the end. We had a roof installed before Edge whose crew left a lot of debris daily and at the end. Ken of Edge has responded well when we have had a few isolated roof leaks later due to tree rubbing or storm damage to the roof. Edge installed our latest roof last summer. After a recent heavy storm, I noticed a leak in a bathroom. Ken came out to inspect, found the seal around that bathroom’s vent had been disturbed and resealed it. He also noticed the seal around our kitchen vent, where no leak had occurred, had been lifted a little and resealed it. We have a lot of tree cover over our roof and Ken advised us to keep the trees trimmed off the roof and leaves regularly cleared out of the roof valleys as those can cause damage. He charges nothing for this additional service! I highly recommended Ken and Edge Roofing!

I hired Edge Roofing and Remodeling to replace my 40 year old shingle roof with a new one that was in my budget range. After showing me samples that could work, I picked one I liked and they had it installed in a very timely manner. The old roof was demolished and the new one replaced with no trace of left over debris. The whole transaction was very professional, easy and cost effective. I highly recommend this company and will use them for any future remodeling jobs.

LMG Construction was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The price was very reasonable. The construction is very solid. I recommend them to everyone. They were polite, very thorough. We told them what we wanted and we got exactly what we wanted. They even recommended a few things we didn't think about. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves. I didn't have any waste and I didn't have to worry about any random nails in the yard. They even built a small porch for my husband at no additional cost. I was very pleased.

John and Thomas Guerrero, who run LMG were fantastic throughout. They helped us quickly get our house back in order after a traumatic disaster. They even recommended and implemented improvements to our flat roof during its repair (adding a slight pitch) to help drainage, etc. They were friendly, responsive, professional and employ a wonderful, qualified team of craftsmen.
They also helped us navigate the rough insurance landscape, and were always conscious of our budget needs when asked for work above and beyond simply putting things back together.
I'll definitely return to LMG for our future home improvement/repair needs.

Price included hauling off old roof that the previous owner had done himself, which meant hauling off two roofs, in effect, because the previous owner had just roofed over the existing roof. Still came in under my insurance $. They were good about providing me samples to choose from, but was kind of confusing because they did not leave names and manufacturers that I could use to compare. But they answered all my questions- so no big deal. Overall, they were quick and professional and it looks great!

We were very conflicted on our experience. They did a GREAT job with the shower. However, there were a few hiccups along the way, and it took about twice as long to complete than they had initially quoted. They were very professional, and very quick to come in, do the demo, and replace the rotted boards. They also got the tile in fairly quickly, although we had chosen white tile for the walls of the shower, and the floor tile that they installed was off white. It turns out that the floor tile was the only option, which made us a little upset since it does not match exactly. Once the tile was in, it took TWO weeks before anyone came to measure for the glass. We knew that it would take up to two weeks to order the glass, so we were not happy about that. In the end, the glass came in in less than a week, but the whole process still took over a month, when they had quoted us two weeks. They also replaced the fixture on our tub. They had to cut through our bedroom wall to get to it, and were done in less than a day! They did a great job and you can't tell there was a huge hole cut there. I guess the biggest issue we had with them was the responsiveness and punctuality. It started out fantastic and then by the end, they were not as good.

Ken Atwater was the last of the roofers that gave me an estimate on the roof. He was one of two contractors (out of five) who noticed two errors that were made by the previous roofer. While his estimate wasn't the lowest it was considerable lower than the highest. I signed a contract and made a deposit on the 22nd and Ken told me it would take a couple of days to order the material. He called on Monday, the 27th and said the material would be delivered by 11:30. His crew was here shortly after that and went right to work. They worked into the evening through Wednesday when they told me they were almost done but were short a few pieces of gutter screen. They returned the next day and finished the job. Throughout the week, they paid attention to policing the area to remove scrap and nails. They used a magnet around the perimeter to find as many nails as possible. Since they finished I have found only three or four pieces of plastic or roofing that they missed, and i am sure they picked up ate least as much of my trash. The week before the job we had a lot of rain, and I was particularly anxious that the job should be done a swiftly as possible to avoid any possibility of water damage. I noted that they removed the old roofing in sections and immediately applied the tar paper so that none of the wood was exposed overnight. We had no rain during the job, but i was pleased with their precautions. I would recommend Edge Roofing to anyone.

They made arrangements for a start date and time. Set appropriate expectations for completion. Actually finished about a half day ahead of schedule. Cleaned up everyday prior to leaving for the day to insure no roof debris was left around. Used a magnet on the grounds all around the house to pick up any stray roofing nails.

We did an eco remodel on our small, original 1958 kitchen. LMG spent the time to go to the store we chose for our eco products and price them for the contract. They called and emailed during the contract period to discuss the various items being written into the contract. An ecologic remodel was very important to us. LMG understood this and worked with us to do it this way, including learning about and using products they had not used before. We wrote our own subcontractor into the budget for a specific product and in spite of some issues with our sub, I do think it was important to have an expert in the product install it. We used our old cabinet boxes and LMG made new doors with non-formaldehyde plywood. The had to add wood strips along the edge of each cabinet to hold the new doors onto our old ones. This is not noticeable at all. LMG also made new drawers for the kitchen. The no voc primer and paint was sprayed on the inside and outside. Tile was set as a countertop edge. The back splash is stainless steel with a pressed metal pattern. A new window and additional lighting was installed, as well as an under the counter pull out trash can, and new flooring. The ceiling was a mess and it was beautifully redone. The new appliances were installed. The entire time start to finish was about 3 weeks. LMG arrived at 7:30 and if we needed to talk to the lead person we would usually do it then when he arrived to line out the work for the day. To keep confusion down we always spoke to the lead person, not directly to the subcontractor or workers on site. The kitchen is beautiful and the experience was as painless as possible. LMG kept the hubbub in the house to a minimum and they were typically gone when we arrived. They were available by email and phone when we needed to contact them. We LOVE our kitchen now. Budget The original budget was $13,000. We added on painting the inside of the cabinets and it was $13,500 when we signed the contract. We bought our own appliances, dishwasher, venting microwave, gas wall oven, and countertop stove and LMG installed them. After the contract was signed it went up an additional 1,995 because of having to replace some plumbing elements etc. I wasn't surprised by this as this was the original kitchen. Between the appliances and the additionals we spent $2,005 not in the contract. We were refunded anything we did not spend that was written into the contract.

They were very good. They were on time and professional. They covered everything with plastic and they were careful. They explained things as they were going.

These guys are great! They are also very reasonable in price. They came to work on time. The supervisor is was present, and their bid for the job was several thousand dollars under what other estimates I got. They finished the job ahead of schedule, which really pleases me!

Edge did a good job of replacing our roof. The work looks good and we have had no leaks since it was replaced. It took them two days to tear off the old roof and put on the new one. We also had them add ridge fencing which cost a little bit more. The workers were nice and polite, but they did leave some stuff in the trees and on the deck that we had to clean up ourselves.
