Recent Fence Company Reviews in Knoxville

The entire process was very straightforward and easy. We had other companies come and quote us that left us without a quote or a plan to get the fence done. Bryant Fence was great and completed the project on time. Several years later and my fence still looks great!

The process was seamless. They arrived to quite the project quickly. They arrived on time for installation. They cleaned up and left. Perfect and would hire again

They were incredible. The owner, Dan, was extremely kind. He followed through on his word. And his prices were better than we expected. And his employees were some of the most respectful men we had of all of the subs during the 2 years of our new construction build.

  • Factory To You Fence
Where to start as our whole experience with this company has been so terrible! We got a quote for a fence, very small job as it was just connecting our to our neighbors existing fence, like a little of 40 foot total. After paying our deposit we got a letter in the mail with install date, well that day came and went with no one showing up or communicating they wouldn’t be there. Finally got in touch with the office and was told the didn’t get the material in time so they would reschedule and of course I asked why no one reached out and the answer was just placing the blame on someone else in the office. Second date came, still no install or communication. I requested a refund and to cancel with them but was told I had to talk to the owner, Edith. After days and many messages later I finally get ahold of her to get the same excuses about material not arriving, placing blame elsewhere, etc. She assured me if would be that coming weekend. The did show to install, however we’re about 4 hours late with no communication at all. Like I said, it was a small job and the guys worked for half a day, didn’t finish and just left again with no communication. It was again more phone calls and days later before they came back to finish. Once it was finished, the quality was terrible. Posts are not straight and don’t even have concrete poured in some of the holes, dents in the fencing, leaning panels. Just overall poor quality of work and considering how long it took for a little over 40 feet of fence, you’d expect it to be correct. I called owner Edith again many times before getting a response and waited a week for her to come out with her husband to look at the poor work. I had already left a negative review at this point which I’m sure is why I finally got a response. Once they arrived to look at the work, owner and husband both agreed the quality of the fence was not up to the company standards but also continued to make excuses as to why it was such poor quality instead of just owning up the work was crap and fixing it. We went back and forth with her accusing us of just basically being sexist and racist against her because she was a minority woman which is not the case at all, we were upset the fence looked (and still looks terrible). She promised she was going to fire the workers responsible as she had many issues with them and our fence would be fixed to our satisfaction and even her husband along with her said they would not charge us the remaining balance for all the trouble (at this point it’s 3 weeks from the install finish date) and I agreed to remove the negative review since she was willing to make it right. Well, surprise that the fence didn’t get fixed. One pole was removed and concrete poured and replaced, but that was it. Nothing else was fixed, never heard back from Edith again even after multiple calls and texts. Now two months later I get a letter in the mail stating we’ve been charged late fees and if we don’t pay the balance we would be sent to collections. I tried to call the owner as soon as the letter was received and again, to no one’s surprise she is out of the office and would call me back. Again multiple calls and messages left and still no response. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE with your fencing need, go elsewhere and pay a little more for better quality and customer service. It will save you such a headache in the long run and you’ll have a much better quality fence that will last for years to come

They did a very good job for a very reasonable price. It took him awhile to get to my job but that was mostly because of the weather both rain and cold than anything else. I would definitely hire again.

  • Summit Painting and Remodeling LLC
I wanted to remodel/upgrade my home. Everything in the house was builder-grade and very worn, grungy and just plain gross from raising children and pets. I took my time picking a contractor. After meeting with several and studying the estimates, Summit Painting and Remodeling LLC was the clear choice. The estimate was in the ball park (or even a little lower) of most of the others but Will Kaiser (owner) was the easiest to work with from the time he came in to do the estimate. He knows how to run a business to ensure the customer has a good experience. He made things very easy for me. Will and his crew have remodeled my entire home. Everything from replacing carpeting with hard flooring, interior painting, replacing windows/doors, adding crown molding, new baseboards, replacing tubs/showers, vanities, toilets, painting kitchen cabinets, adding subway tile back-splash in kitchen, replacing gutters, building a new fence, installing a doggie door, replacing light fixtures and the list goes on. The crew are terrific craftsmen and their work is outstanding. Additionally, they were very respectful of the fact that I had to live in the home while the work was being completed. They worked around me so that I could move from bedroom to bedroom as parts of the house were completed and also made sure I always had a working bathroom. Communication was fantastic throughout the process. I work during the day so I was not there while they were working on my home but Will and I were always able to connect in the evenings either by phone or electronically as we worked through logistics. My little house looks amazing thanks to Summit Painting and Remodeling LLC! I would hire Will and his crew again in a heart beat and recommend them without hesitation

Guaranteed Services is an excellent Pro to work with. My pickett fence was in terrible condition. I was delighted the way Reginald and Bill worked to bring it back to looking like new again. They are professional in every thing they do. I am looking forward to using them again.

  • Guaranteed Services LLC
Before we closed on our home we started looking for contractors. My wife began calling around to get someone to visit. After speaking with Reginald at Guaranteed services she was sure we had found the right one. Fast forward to today and we still feel the same way. Guaranteed services has repaired, rescreened, and repainted our deck. Built new outdoor deck steps. Built a beautiful and very sturdy fence over 350 linear ft. Completely remodeled 3 bathrooms including tile, plumbing, and building a new shower. Painted most of our home. Found and replaced completely rotted pipes after jackhammering the foundation. Added wrought iron railing on front porch and back yard. Replaced an old FPE electrical box with a brand new 200A box. Removed 2 dead trees in our yard (over 70ft) The list goes on. We are very fortunate to have found Guaranteed services. The professionalism, quality of work, and reasonable price will have us continue to utilize their services. We would recommend this company to anyone

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
