"Awesome.  Phillips fencing is now my go-to company for any/all fencing needs.  Best customer service I've experienced in years?it really stands out as superior.  They were responsive, very helpful with a home visit to look over the area needing to be fenced in order to ensure the product I select is appropriate, provided very helpful fencing suggestions, and were very prompt with returning to my home and installing the fence.  The fence installers were very professional, very experienced adults that knew what they were doing?not rookies or people just looking to throw up the fence and get it over with.  An absolute total quality fence and the best price I found in Knoxville.  This is a combo that is very hard to find; quality and price together.  For fencing, Phillips is the way to go.  Thanks Stacy and Team!  I will be calling again fairly soon for help fencing a home I'm about to purchase.

The fencePRO is a small family owned and operated business. Because we don't have the overhead that the big fence companies do. We are almost always able to offer our customers a much lower quote . In the rare occurence that someone tries to go cheaper we'll beat their price by 10%....

"Reviewed a few companies before choosing Green Home installations. They were quick to come out for an initial estimate - pricing was fair - and showed up on time for their appointment to install the fence in one day. Thoroughly cleaned up after the install and delivered a great product. I am extremely happy with my fence, the work provided by their install team and their front office staff. Highly recommend them for your fencing needs."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Deer can crawl under a fence if it has a gap of around 6 inches or more. Make sure to close all gaps at the bottom of your fence to keep deer out, and the bottom of the material should be tightly secured, or the deer will push right through it. As an added benefit, closing shorter gaps at the bottom of a fence can also keep rabbits out of your yard.

When it comes to materials, wire fences are the cheapest option. The average cost for a 150-foot wire fence is $1,350. The next cheapest material is chain-link, followed by wood.

As far as the style of fence, smaller, less private fences are cheaper than large, elaborate fences that block your whole yard. That’s why split-rail fences are the cheapest option for wooden fences. They cost roughly $10 to $30 per linear foot.

The cheapest farm fences are typically wire fences, which cost less to install than traditional lumber fences. Barbed wire is one of the most inexpensive options due to its simple materials, making it a good choice for low budgets. It is suitable for confining docile animals in large spaces, as it provides a visual barrier and a mild deterrent. Other options like hog wire and woven wire fences are also cost-effective because they require less lumber than a full wooden fence. These types of wire fences are strong, long-lasting, and relatively easy to repair, though they are often considered less aesthetically pleasing than wood.

There are many pros and cons to vinyl and composite fencing. Both fencing types offer longer lifespans than wood fencing, with some notable advantages. Whether one is better for you will depend on a few factors. Composite is better if you prefer recycled materials, while vinyl is extremely easy to clean.

Also, consider the disadvantages: vinyl can be more expensive, while composite fencing fades during the first six months.

The most common type of metal fence today is one made of either steel or aluminum. These materials are relatively easy to fabricate, making them much more cost-effective than traditional metal fencing handmade from wrought iron. They’re also much lighter and easier to install, contributing to their affordability and making them more DIY-friendly.
