"Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "I hired Quality Lawn Care late last year to remove the remnants of a root system, grade and level out my lawn away from the house, and reseed. Everyone was friendly enough when outperforming the work, but the yard did not look level. When I asked about it, they said it would settle and level out and if there were any issues to give them a call. After everything started to grow in and I cut the grass I found several areas where roots were exposed in addition to an overall unlevel lawn - let alone the grading being non-existent. I took it as the downside of having a large tree removed and reached back out to them to get a quote on having everything gone over again in addition to other work - fully expecting to pay for the service. They were quick to respond and come out to get a quote. Larry was very friendly and got everything down for additional work while stating the original work would be covered and done free of charge. That was a great relief to hear ... except that was the last I heard. I have called the numbers I had previously several times across three weeks and left messages with no response. I left 1 star for work quality and value since they performed some work. I left a half star for customer service since they were friendly when dealing with them, but there was ZERO follow-up and have now been ghosted. Shameful way to reconcile an issue by offering to guarantee work and then disappear. -UPDATE: I was contacted by Quality Lawn Care to schedule the work as the rain continuously delayed schedules and they had to wait on the dirt to finish the landscaping. After a few weeks, we were able to get someone out and they completed the grading with fill dirt. I will have to rake the spots in the lawn that were filled as it contains a lot of rocks and asphalt chunks that I do not want to hit with my mower. I watered everything multiple times a day per their instruction, but grass is not growing in the spots that were fixed - likely due to the dirt condition. That said, I have revised my ratings accordingly."

"I can not say enough about this company. They were always onetime the crew were amazing. Our yard looked abandoned but within three weeks it is beautiful. David kept us informed and did exactly what he said he would do. Actually they went above what I expected. He told me I would be happy but, I never imagined how beautiful it would look. The crew always cleaned up everyday and worked thru rain and late to make sure the job was completed Thank you David for all the beautiful landscaping and pavers. They also paved our driveway which is awesome!! We have had neighbors come by and compliment on what a beautiful job they did. So, if you are looking a professional and we consider him a friend then please call him you will never regret it. You can see by the pictures of before and after what an amazing job they did!!"

"My name is L. T. Henderson & I have been a licensed Builder for 22 years. Poured With Passion is hands down the Best Concrete Contractor that I have ever worked with. They have helped me with multiple concrete projects over the years ranging from driveways to mono slabs and even some spectacular stamped concrete projects. The staff are Amazing and Sam is an Absolute Artist when it comes to stamped concrete. On our last project he created a custom design that turned out to be a masterpiece! My Clients were absolutely blown away, as was I. Simply put...I refuse to even entertain other Concrete Contractors when they solicit my business because I have Total faith in Poured With Passion. I am Incredibly grateful to be able to work with them and would highly recommend them for any project involving concrete. Much Thanks to Robert, Isaac, Nathaniel, Mary and Sam! L. T. Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

If you’re looking for a similar, eco-friendly driveway material, you might consider one of these options:

  • Permeable pavement: This material is sometimes called “pervious” or “porous” pavement; it allows stormwater to drain into the subbase, eliminating storm drain costs.

  • Gravel: Consider paving your driveway with locally sourced gravel. By sourcing from a nearby source, your money won’t fund international shipping and will be invested back into your local community.

  • Natural stone pavers: Because natural stone pavers are made from organically-produced stone, there’s no new manufacturing required, limiting the environmental impact. In addition, water easily flows and drains through the gaps in the pavers.

The dimensions of a driveway apron vary based on local building codes, the width of your driveway, and the distance between the driveway and the road. On average, aprons range from 12 to 24 feet wide and 8 to 18 feet long. Typically, the end of the apron connected to the driveway matches its width—such as 10 to 12 feet for a single-car driveway—while the end at the street flares out to allow cars to turn in and out more easily. In some areas, you may not be responsible for the portion of the apron that extends beyond the sidewalk, but this depends on local laws.

Since it has a smoother surface using a mixture of finer rock and sand, 41A tends to be the best asphalt grade for a driveway, especially for residential driveways. Other options are available, but more homeowners choose 41A for a smoother asphalt driveway. Talk with your asphalt driveway professional for recommendations of the best grade for your specific driveway.

Whether you should resurface or replace your asphalt driveway heavily depends on its condition. If the foundation is solid and the damage is minor, resurfacing is your best bet because it’s more affordable and faster than replacing the driveway. But if your driveway has foundational problems and/or severe damage, like large, deep cracks and potholes, then it makes more sense to replace it.
