"I'll start at the beginning. On or about September 2016. L.J.Carlton was contracted to replace the roof on my house and a double wide at the same time. They are on the same property. The double wide had roof leaks soon afterwards and shingles come up in wind. They came back 3 times to work on it and we were left to paint over the water spots. Fast forward to October 2018. We had our HVAC replaced. While doing the inspection on their work in our basement, I found water dripping from the vent pipe that goes thru the roof. After further investigation I found 2 leaks ,one caused by me at a sink and one coming from the roof vent. I called Carlton. after a few hit and miss phone calls, Jamey scheduled a time to come look. While waiting for that day I kept a close eye on the leak during rain. I found more leaks coming around the chimney. Jamey came and left and agreed to send a service tech. Service tech guy came and supposedly did the repair, said it was never sealed properly and there wasn't enough nails originally. Next rain, it leaks again. It took a few weeks for Jamey to get service tech guy back out. Service tech puts more sealant where he thinks its leaking from. Next rain, I still have a leak. I called their answering service and asked for Chris to call me. Jamey called back a short time later, he was supposed to come out at the end of the week. It snowed so we rescheduled to the following week. Now ,no Jamey, no service tech, no return phone calls no return text. I still have a roof leak that has most likely been there since the new roof was installed. I have left my bathroom wall torn out to keep from mold growing again. This has gone on for around 3 months now. Today I am watching the shingles blow off of the double wide roof again."

"Bought this in the spring to use before burning in the fall/winter.  Ended up moving in December and did not use it.
I'm wasn't sure how to score a company I didn't use (and not reviewing isn't really an option), so I just picked a score consistent with the average rating.

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The most significant benefit of having a gas grill over a propane grill is that you never run out of fuel unless there’s an outage in your area, which is rare. Unlike with a propane grill, you’ll never need to haul tanks back and forth to a local fill station, and you’ll never find yourself unable to use your grill because you forgot to refill your tanks. Gas grills also burn slightly cleaner than propane grills, and natural gas costs significantly less than propane, meaning it’s more affordable to run your grill.

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

Yes, you can lay a gas grill flat during transportation. Laying it flat can help prevent it from moving around the truck during the journey. It’s still advisable to secure the grill with bungee cords, just in case.

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:

  • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly.

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.
