"I called Justin Ludy, the owner of Palmetto Wildlife Extractors, based on a recommendation from the pest company I have used for many years.  We made an appointment.  During the time they were to be at our house they had an emergency call that required more time and manpower and they were not able to keep our original appointment date.  Justin told his Michael, one of his employees, to make another appointment and correct our problem without charging.  The work was completed very well.  I later called Justin to send him a fee but he refused and made the work a gift since he said they had disrupted my day when the original appointment was not kept.  I certainly appreciated his professinalism and concern for his customers.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is generally safe to return to your house once the pest control professionals have granted permission. Keep in mind that you’ll only need to evacuate your home during extreme pest control treatments, such as whole-home fumigation, while more minor treatments don’t require leaving. When you return home, be sure to follow the pest pro’s instructions carefully, especially those surrounding wait times and safety precautions.

Small amounts of geese are actually good for the environment. They help spread seeds and lead to more plant growth, but they’re often an invasive species, particularly Canadian geese. This means a small gaggle can quickly grow into a level that litters your lawn with bald patches and excrement.

Numerous predators kill hornets, including frogs, birds, lizards, bats, spiders, and hedgehogs. Some larger predators, including rats, skunks, and racoons, will occasionally attack a hornet nest in order to eat the larvae inside. These natural predators typically don’t eat enough hornets to make them an effective form of hornet control.

Professional pest control services for birds and bats prevent property damage, preserve health standards by avoiding the buildup of droppings, and ensure humane removal and prevention techniques.

Certain strong smells may help repel bats, though this is not a foolproof method and is best used in conjunction with other deterrence strategies. Scents like peppermint oil, eucalyptus, cinnamon, cloves, and mint are often suggested as natural remedies. To create a spray, you can mix two cups of warm water with half a cup of sugar and a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Apply this mixture using a spray bottle to possible entry points and throughout the affected area, such as an attic. While this home remedy is popular, evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.
