"Our water was full of iron and left our toilets, showers, sinks, and even parts of washing machine orange. We have been dealing with this issue for many years and were sick of dealing with it. Recently, Bryan at Southeast Plumbing and Gas installed a water filtration system to our existing ( salt) water softener. It’s has been about 2 months now and so far the iron on any surfaces has not returned. Before the new system , the iron would have started to return within a few days. We are very satisfied with this new system so far and are looking forward to no more terrible iron or terrible smell. Our water also had a terrible sulfur , sometimes , metallic smell. Bryan said he could guarantee no iron in water once I had new filtration system installed but could not guarantee the odor would be gone. But he also told us that he felt that once he installed new filtration system that with the carbon filters that most probably the smell would go away or smell better. Well, he was right - the new filters took away the smell too, except in faucets that do not get used daily. Also, he thought he was going to have to add some parts to my system, but after checking my existing system , he told me that my system already had those parts on it-he could save me$200.00. I thanked him for being so honest. He could have pocketed the $200.00 and I wouldn’t have known that my system already had those parts. So he was very honest to tell me that and I really appreciated it!! We are very pleased with our new filtration system. Bryan did a great job and we appreciate all of his efforts to do his best for us to have a water system that gives us fresh smelling - no iron-good water!! He was very kind and respectful. "A large tree fell on my home during storm & I hired another contractor to complete repairs which included replacing 9-12 rafters/sheathing/shingles, re-building small front porch & adding 3 windows to sunroom. Original contractor installed the windows & did a lot of work on the roof but were very slow & work was sub-par.....they also had issues getting project permitted & I finally had to let them go. I was in a real bind to get repairs completed as I was in the middle of re-financing house when the storm hit. I contacted Commonwealth & they were able to come out & assess what needed to be done. They got the permits right away & got started. Most of the previous work had to be re-done....they removed the windows & added headers & proper support & re-installed, repaired roof & re-built front porch. All work was done professionally & in a timely manner. Also installed interior trim (baseboards/windowsills/frame) in sunroom, which I requested at the last minute, so house would be ready for appraisal. They did a nice job matching the original trim on older home. Would definitely hire again."

"After being ignored by some companies we called and given a $15,000 estimate over the phone by another (without ever coming to see the area needing work) David came when he said he would, gave us an estimate and told us when he could start work.

This is a very small room (5' x 5' 6") and a tight squeeze. Part of the floor had fallen in, the toilet was unusable and the room was unsafe. (Did I mention it is our ONLY bathroom?)

David and his crew took out the old fixtures, took walls down to the studs, took up what was left of the floor. There were beams that needed replacing and some wiring that sparked a remark of "you're lucky you haven't had a fire". This was also fixed. 

We went from a tub/shower to strictly a shower, new toilet with water saving features and sink. The floor was tiled in a nice textured black porcelain and the walls tiled halfway in white porcelain. Not an easy job in an older house with no 'true' walls. The crew came in every day and worked until my husband had to go to work. They cleaned up after themselves and made this, if not an enjoyable, at least a tolerable situation.
