We explained the importance of having central heat and air as soon as humanly possible but needed an unconventional approach. We needed a change agent. We were requesting consideration because we could not afford the total costs associated with the traditional methods of purchasing a new system. Exhausted, and thinking outside of the box, to help meet the need for heating a home during this winter season, we thought of purchasing a unit. We qualified to buy a unit but did not follow through until we could find that one person — just one who would take a risk and help a family in need. Angie’s List was our absolute go-to. We stepped out on faith, believing that we would find someone with a heart of compassion, understanding that this was a complete liability.
