"Excellent. I could not find the right size tile to fix the hole. The old tile measured 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 but I could only find tile that measured 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 which would have made it look ugly. Chris cleaned the old tile pieces and put it back together so that it looks like the day it was tiled."

"I was looking for laminate flooring. We ended up buying luxury vinyl flooring. It was suppose to have a limited life time coverage. In less than a week the flooring was scratched from my husband sitting at his desk. They would not replace the flooring. They did not have the correct trim. They were supposed to leave the overage which they did not. Very unhappy with them."

"Fantastic! We had researched for quite a while companies, costs, etc.  We weren't totally sure as to what we wanted.  We knew we wanted granite in our kitchen and a tile back splash, but did not know where to begin.  We found Imported Stone on Angie's list and we called and scheduled an appointment.  When we arrived we were greeted by Noel and his staff.  What a great staff they have. Noel is the owner, and who ever gets to meet the owner anymore, gave us the grand tour and explained all of our options. He had everything we needed right down to the plumber!  Most of the companies we dealt with you had to find all the extras own your own.  His assistant, Terry, who is an interior designer, stepped in to help with the critical task of determining just the right stone and back splash we would need.  We took notes, scheduled another appointment and this time brought in pictures of our kitchen for her to see.  She took one look, sat down, drew out our kitchen and next thing we knew we had our design all laid out. She directed us to their warehouse to pick out our slab and then to the place where the tile back splash comes from.  After about three visits, we had everything narrowed down and ready to order.  It did not take long at all.  The next step was to send out the fella who did the template of our counter top.  He had it down to a science.  He was so meticulous.  Our granite fit to a T!  The installers were on time, were neat, careful not to damage cabinets and floors.  They took pains with installing it and it looks beautiful!  Next came the back splash.  Chris Demo, who works closely with Imported Stone, did the honors.  He came highly recommended off Angie's List as well.  Chris was wonderful.  He knows his back splash and he designed a special feature over my range to compliment the rest of the tile.  It is beautiful!  These folks worked together outstandingly. As for the cost, we were very pleased with that as well.  We would use these folks again in a heartbeat.  They were all such professionals, and encouraged us to call with any questions or concerns.  Nobody does that anymore.  Our experience on a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest would definitely be a ten.  We have a beautiful kitchen thanks to Imported Stone and Chris Demo!  Thank you so much!!!

"Our technician Curtis Burdines showed up on the scheduled day on time and went straight to work. We had our 3 season porch tile and exterior travertine patio cleaned and seal. Curtis paid attention to details and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the service we received and would use Sir Grout again in the future."

"I purchased this company's Angie's List Deal in May, 2015.  Franco responded very quickly following the purchase and called to schedule time to measure my kitchen for backsplash installation.  I had a sample of the tile at that time, so he was able to provide a list of supplies needed (mastic, grout, etc.)  I told him the tile was special order and I wasn't sure of when it would be in stock.  Franco followed up regularaly to check the status.  The tile was FINALLY delivered mid-July.  Franco worked with me (he even offered to install on a Sunday! on an installation date.  He arrived on July 27 promptly as promised at 9:00 a.m. and worked non-stop until 5:00 p.m. (didn't even take a break) to complete the job.  The result is beautiful and I would strongly recommend Forever Showers Tile & Stone to anyone!

"

picked out the flooring at the show room. I had the approximate measurements with me and was told it would be about $6800.00 for the first floor of my townhouse, including two bathrooms and a third bathroom on the second floor.

The sales person (Tim) came out when stated and was on time. He suggested that I do the floor in the master closet instead of leaving the old carpet (which turned out to be the right decision). He also suggested doing the half bath in the same flooring as the kitchen,as well as the two closets in the kitchen, dining and living room for one seamless look . He took all the measurements and got back to me within two days with a quote, which was the same as was quoted in the showroom.

The installers arrived on time and started work right away. The removed all the furniture in the dinning room and living room, moved the washer and dryer, refrigerator and stove . The first day they did all but the master bathroom and bedroom. There was a misunderstanding of what flooring was to be used on the first floor master bathroom which was quickly resolved and the tile was laid. It took two days to complete the work (as promised).

They replaced all my furniture and left my home just perfect.

Their work was done on time and I was always kept up to date on what was being done, They had to make a third trip back to finish the second floor bath, because of the mix up as to what I wanted on the master bath floor.

I would highly recommend this company for the professional and respectful way I was treated and the quality of the product and the workmanship. I was pleased with their recommendations and that I did not have to move any furniture or appliances. My home now looks bigger, brighter and I am very pleased with the finished work.

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.

The underlayment determines a ceramic tile’s sturdiness, and a cement board or backer board works best. Be sure to tape the joints when using these materials, and consider laying it on top of a layer of thin-set for more stability.

No, you don’t need to remove the old grout before installing new tile over existing tile. In fact, the old grout helps fill in gaps between tiles, creating a more even surface for the new layer. However, it's important to ensure that the grout is clean, solid, and free of cracks or crumbling areas. Damaged grout should be repaired or replaced before proceeding. Cleaning the surface thoroughly and filling any low spots will help the new adhesive bond properly and ensure a smooth, stable installation.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.
