"Ted came out and checked out the system and said he found it to be in excellent condition with everything working properly. Being now a cool season, he was not able to checkout the air conditioning cycles of the unit, but that would normally be done in the late spring anyway. I will plan to have him back at that time to check that aspect of the unit. Ted was most professional, courteous and knowledgeable. What I liked most about him was he made suggestions on how to save money on his services. He even told me with the newness of the system and the great condition is stays in, that I might only need a once a year checkout of the unit. It's not often you encounter someone who not only doesn't try to up-sell services, but actually makes recommendations on ways to reduce his costs to you."

"We recently purchased a trailer during last Winter. Being our fist home purchase, we weren't sure of everything we needed to be on the lookout for. The heat pump did a good job of keeping the place warm. But the Summer months were soon on us, and we quickly realized that the AC unit was worthless.
Skip ahead to some 98 degree weather. We had bought a window AC to try to keep cool, but of course, that only helped a small portion of our home. So, we began searching for the best deal in HVAC. A few people gave us quotes. Most of these numbers ranged anywhere from $7,000 to $12,000. We simply couldn't afford that. But while browsing Angie's List, I found Aire Serv offering a great deal. $2500 for a 3-ton unit. I called the company and asked them to come over and decide if the offer would fit our situation. The gentleman that cam over concluded that we needed a 3.5-ton unit, not a 3-ton unit. But, he'd try and get us a deal similar to the one we were inquiring about. Before we knew it, he got someone to authorize a 3.5-ton, 13 SEER unit, with new coil and refrigerant tubes for a price that wasn't too much more than the original deal. We were quite happy, as we wanted to stay out of debt, and this was something we could handle without a loan. It was going to take a week to get the parts in, so the company sent over a couple of portable air conditioners to loan us until the date of install. Skipping ahead a few days to the day of installation, Keith and Gill came by the house nice and early. But they quickly realized that the original quote was not for a heat pump, but just an AC. Keith thought that this was bad for my wife and I, and so he made a few calls. Again, this company nearly blew me out of the water with their business. They offered to get me an AC/Heat Pump, new coil, new refrigerant tubes, new wiring, new thermostat, all for the same price I was originally quoted! Seven hours later, they finished up. I found myself with a new system that works perfectly. The new unit is even a 14 SEER as opposed to the 13 SEER I was originally going to get.
Keith and Gill were both wonderful professionals. They were as courteous and friendly as you can get. They even spruced up the area around the AC outside with some black mulch. If I ever need AC work again, you can bet I'm going to call on Aire Serv!

"After a nightmare trying to get 2-10 Home Warranty to get their "qualified" contractor out with a week of mid 80's temps, I gave up and called Pro Heating & Cooling. This is the busiest time of the year, yet Cody called me back ASAP, and showed up the next morning early! He even called to tell me his ETA. A quick assessment and 4 lbs of freon later, we are cooling again. Great, professional services, and we will continue to utilize them in the future. ***I've also left reviews on AL for Rapps Heating and Air, as well as 2-10 Home Warranty as if you hear either of those two names, expect a hassle/scam and run the other way."

"Robert and Paul took the time to look at my AC unit and test the system when I was having issues. Robert explained in detail and showed me what he was doing along the way. They gave me an honest opinion about my AC unit after testing and troubleshooting the issues. I appreciate their honesty and integrity in the entire process - it really gave me peace of mind in deciding on a new unit/investment. I had them install a new AC unit. They were prompt, professional, and cleaned everything up before they left! I now have a cool home! Definitely recommend Integrity HVAC. Thank you!! ?"

"On time, friendly, clean. From the very beginning my experience was great. The last who took my call was so nice. The service guy who came out took his time, explained my repair that was needed in terms that I could understand. I choose to get a quote since my ac is very old. The sales man who came out was nice, not pushy. Once I choose to go with them, they were able to install my new unit very quickly. I will recommend them to all of my friends"

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

A new air conditioner capacitor will cost less than replacing the entire air conditioner system. While a capacitor itself will cost between $8 and $25, paying a professional to replace an AC capacitor will cost $180 on average. It’s not safe to replace an air conditioner capacitor on your own.

While it's generally safe to stay in a home with a coolant leak if your home is properly ventilated, it's important to have a professional come out to assess the situation right away. You should evacuate your home if you notice any powerful fumes. Additionally, you should leave your home if you are experiencing headaches or dizziness.

Yes, it is possible. An electrical fire can break out if the compressor has inadequate ventilation. When it overheats but doesn't have a proper thermal cutout, this can cause the motor to short-circuit and catch fire. This risk is exacerbated if flammable materials, like dust and fallen leaves, are clogging the unit. The compressor overheating won't start a fire by itself, but poor maintenance and installation can increase the risk once it hits its breaking point and short-circuits.

To lower humidity quickly, run a dehumidifier or your home's air conditioner or turn on exhaust fans to extract moisture. These methods can quickly and effectively bring your home's humidity levels to a comfortable condition. However, you should consistently practice humidity-reducing tasks to maintain proper indoor humidity levels.

Window AC units use a fair amount of electricity, but significantly less than central AC systems. Because they are more energy-efficient for cooling individual rooms or small spaces, their usage is comparatively low. On average, a window AC unit consumes between 500 and 1,400 watts, while a central AC system uses over 3,500 watts—meaning a window unit uses about one-third of the energy. This typically translates to a monthly running cost of $15 to $40, although this can vary depending on external factors.
