"Rob was with us every step of the way. He helped us choose the right color and grade of carpet. His measurements were on target to minimize waste. The grout and tiling looks beautiful as well as the wood laminate floor. His installers were very professional and trustworthy. Rob was in touch through the installation process by checking in with me as well as the installers. Floor Coverings International was very easy to work with. I highly recommend them for any flooring needs."

"We decided to remove the carpet in our first floor recreation room and go with custom tile installation . This area leads out to the back yard and the pool through a series of french doors so we wanted a classy but fun look. Quality Flooring really cares about the craftsmanship behind their work. Les is an artist who is thoughtful about the design and proud of the finished product. He took the time to explain his process and worked with us to ensure we got the exact look we were looking for. He offered suggestions and ideas which helped us immensely . If you want a custom experience Les is the guy for you. Highly recommended.

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

Bathroom mold tends to reappear due to the persistent presence of moisture and humidity, creating the ideal conditions for its growth. Since bathrooms are inherently humid environments, without proper ventilation, moisture accumulates on surfaces, providing a continuous food source for mold spores. Mold spores are present in the air and settle on damp surfaces to start growing rapidly. Additionally, if the underlying causes of mold, such as plumbing leaks or inadequate sealing, are not addressed, mold will return even after removal. To avoid recurring issues, addressing the root cause by improving ventilation, fixing leaks, and maintaining a dry bathroom environment through regular cleaning and maintenance is essential.

The white stains you see on your bricks are likely efflorescence, which is salt and lime buildup. To remove efflorescence stains, simply brush them away with a stiff brush. For larger, more stubborn stains, scrub the stains with a water-detergent solution.

Yes, if you’re strapped for supplies, boiling hot water can be a great alternative for getting rid of soap scum. However, as this method calls for a bit of soaking, it’s best used when cleaning your bathroom sink or bath basin (or on small objects you can submerge). All you have to do is plug your sink or bathtub drain and pour in enough boiling water to cover the soap scum. Allow it to soak for five minutes, drain, and follow up with an additional hot water rinse to remove any lingering residue.

Before you begin caulking a shower, you’ll need to use a utility knife or solvent to remove the old caulk and inspect the area for mold. If needed, take appropriate steps to get rid of the mold, then wipe everything down with dish soap and warm water before letting it dry completely. Finally, surround the caulking area with two strips of blue painter’s tape—one above the joint where you’re caulking and another below it.

Hiring a professional to steam clean tile floors costs between $0.50 and $3.50 per square foot. While the overall cost varies based on the size of the cleaning area, the average expense for an entire house is around $475. If you prefer to do the job yourself, you can rent or purchase steam cleaners for a reasonable price.
