"Very great work! Not only is Terry honest but he is very professional and kind. He works with you and is not money hungry. Very sweet person and the price is very reasonable. Terry and his son put VCT tile flooring in my kitchen for me and put a white base to match the floors, and my kitchen floors look so much better than before. Terry made sure he did not leave until everything was done right. Terry is my floor person from now on because of his positivity and kindness. The goodness of his heart shows through him and his work. Thanks again for my floors 🌸🌸🌸"

"Outstanding: Josh was everything one could want in a floor care professional. Not only did he clean 15 years of grunge off our kitchen and morning room Italian tile floors, he matched epoxy filler for cracks from settling and also damage from falling pot lids that scored the tile. He advised us against replacing the scored tiles-to be done only as a last resort-- and recommended a professional microfiber mop to pull out the dirt from the pores/crevices. Josh is personable and fairly priced. We would definitely use him again and recommend him and his work. He has the Masters Touch!"

"Timely contact and even showed up earlier than expected for both days! Only con is slight miscommunication about process/payment options. There is a 3% charge up for credit card use that I wasn’t aware of until I had to pay. Also unable to walk on floors for a few days longer than expected (this was my first experience with refinishing floors), so our move is slightly delayed now. Regardless, due to their quality of work, would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone! My floors look beautiful and I’m very satisfied with the way they turned out!"

"installed epoxy coating on garage floor. Existing floor was very spalled from salt. The result was unbelievable. Dave was quite flexible with us as we had to juggle various contractors. The result was beyond expectations considering the condition of the floor. No mess, hardly knew Eric was there. Very pleased."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

If you hire a professional to install a new floor, you can expect to pay between $50 and $75 per hour for labor. It takes two days on average to install a new floor as part of a bathroom remodeling project, but your timeline depends on your bathroom’s size and layout.

It all depends on what you’re looking for in a floor. Cork flooring is certainly softer and more sound-absorbing than hardwood floors, and the two share very similar maintenance routines. That said, for some homeowners, the pristine appearance of hardwood floors may be more appealing, and they may be less prone to scratches and dents than cork flooring. Hardwood flooring also tends to be more expensive than cork flooring.

Basements are commonly converted into game rooms. The potential challenges you may run into include controlling moisture, working with low ceilings, limited natural light, and the need for additional electrical or HVAC work. Addressing these issues can add to the total cost, but it ensures a comfortable and functional space.

In most cases, carpeting isn’t kind to the wood that it’s attached to. Most carpet installation uses adhesive or nailing strips, both of which will damage wood. Conversely, you can choose to use an adhesive designed to be removed from wood, in which case carpeting can actually protect your hardwood stairs.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls, and its cushioning can lessen the severity of an injury if a fall does occur. Hard surfaces often lack the friction needed for a secure tread and can be quite slippery.

However, it's worth noting that some carpets can also be slick, particularly if they are brand new, dirty, or made from certain materials. If any stair surface feels too slippery, traction treads can be added to most materials to increase grip and improve safety.
