After working for a well known roofing/siding/gutters company in the Lehigh Valley, where he had extensive training both on the job and classroom. Owner and Operator, Neil LaBuda had just underwent emergency surgery, and his wife's water broke at 25 weeks. He was unfortunately written off by his employer. Neil went on a mission to start his own company, where he would keep his word to the customer, focus on job clean up, 100% customer satisfaction, no smoking on jobsites, a drug and alcohol free work environment, safety not quickness, and asking and delivering to the client what is most important to them about that job. Mr. LaBuda vowed to never treat his employees the way he was treated and to teach his employees while showing respect and to be thankful for the opportunity to serve his clients. LaBuda Exteriors provides exceptional quality service and workmanship for repair and replacement of Gutters/Siding/Roofing. 1 full time employee, several part time crew members. 7 years in the trade.

Our customer Safety is our number one priority. We have over 20 years of experience and have expanded to 5 crews covering a 100 mile radius. The owner Philip Ciminera is a certified Chimney Sweep of 14 years and member of CSIA , NFPA and The National Chimney Sweep Guild. Our team members are also CSIA certified and our work comes with a 10 year guarantee.

"Very unhappy with the quality of workmanship. The chimney rebuild went well except for a water leak at the flashing. the sidewalk was terrible as if they had never done a sidewalk before. The patio was not graded properly so water now runs back towards the foundation, the steps had gaps where they did not belong , adhesive was spilt in the top of the steps and would not come off."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

A chimney that leaks in heavy rain is not functioning properly. This may be due to damage accrued over time from exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions, which can cause cracks to form in the chimney crown and ultimately allow moisture to seep in from above. It could also be due to a faulty or missing chimney cap.

The common formula for measuring a roof is length x width equals square footage. Professional roofers measure the length and width of your roof, including dormers, and determine its pitch and rafter sizes. If a roof surface is a triangle, they’ll divide that square footage by two, then add up the square footage of each surface to get the total for the roof.

The cost to replace a roof averages around $9,200, and most people pay between $6,000 and $15,000. The size of your roof plays a major role in the total cost, but the most significant factor is whether you need new shingles placed over your old roof or a full replacement. The former is possible until you have three layers of roofing on your home, and it’s more affordable. A full replacement involves ripping off old layers of shingles, sometimes repairing the sheathing, and then laying down a new roof, which is the most expensive project.

The best material to sheath a roof will depend on your budget and if you require the strength of more robust materials. For most homes, the added strength is unnecessary, and oriented strand board, or OSB, makes sense. It’s inexpensive and robust enough for most roof types. Another popular but slightly more expensive option is plywood.

16-gauge galvanized steel staples with a minimum crown of 15/16 inches or 24 millimeters are occasionally used to install shingles. However, most shingle manufacturers or residential building codes don’t recommend staples as a roofing fastener. Roofing nails are preferred in most cases, especially in areas that get a lot of heavy wind.
