"I recently hired Clark Chimney and Masonry for a chimney cap and liner replacement and I'm extremely satisfied with their service. The team was prompt, professional, and efficient. They took great care in ensuring a clean work environment and thoroughly explained the process. The pricing was fair, and I appreciated their friendly customer service. I highly recommend [Chimney Service Company] for anyone in need of reliable and top-notch chimney services!"

"Fireplace was fine (OPPOSITE of what I had been told by another chimney sweep).  Oil burner side ...not so good.  Flue was heavily cracked and deteriorated.  Entire flue pieces laying at base.  Since this could be a carbon monoxide hazard and I quite often have small children in the house, I didn't think it was anything I should let go unresolved (although I was NOT anticipating spending a couple of thousand dollars at the time).
Bottom line:  New stainless steel liner put in.  Liner secured and resealed top and bottom.  New cap installed - and cracked top cement crown on chimney was replaced with a rubberized product.  Warranty on liner is transferable with the house when/if sold.
While I was not thrilled about hitting my emergency fund for something that you can't SEE, obviously it was important to get it done.  I was eligible for a Senior discount (am I the only one THRILLED to be older when a Senior discount is offered)?  You hit a certain age ... every penny saved helps.
Jon Paul was wonderful.  Not a pushy sales person.  Straight and to the point.  Explained everything in detail.  Personable.  My 4 year old great niece was with me for an overnight visit and she immediately took to him.  (Pay attention to the little ones ~ they're very good judges of character).
I will recommend them at every opportunity and call them again if the need arises.  Five Stars from me!!!"

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"This company was very prompt with the estimate. The workers came and completed the job when they said they would and did an amazing job. We will definitely  use them for any roofing issues in the future. Prices were slightly lower then most, but the quality of work performed was fantastic. I highly recommend!

"I made an appointment for them to come out on 11/12/19 to take a look at my chimney, which was detiriorating badly from the inside. I had another company come out prior but wasn't satisfied with their estimation. I was told straight up that what I needed to have done would be a big job because of the length of time the problem had been occurring and any possible unknown factors that could arise during the job completion (all of which I researched for myself as a precaution). Long story short, I agree to do the work at a VERY reasonable price (based on the average price cost to do the job) and set up an appointment for 11/20/19 to run from 9am until 6pm. These guys were on time and did an amazing job. Like, I am really, REALLY, REALLY impressed. Having been jerked around and screwed over by so many contractors; it's refreshing to meet some that say what they mean, mean what they say and do what they say they're going to do....and are honest!"

"They were very punctual in coming out to check the roofs and i got a quick estimate.  After setting up a date to do the work, I had a death in the family and they were very flexible in rescheduling the work.  The first day, they scraped and patched both roofs and applied a first coat.  They came back out the next day to apply a second coat.  They were very careful to not track any dirt or paint through the house and they did a fine job cleaning up after the work was completed.

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

No, you can’t install just any microwave over your range. You have to get a specific type of microwave known as an over-the-range unit. These include venting and lighting features that you’ll need above your stovetop.

Although countertop units are more affordable, they won’t work for this type of installation. To avoid hazardous conditions in your kitchen, buy the right type of microwave for your needs.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
