"i used apollo cleaning services for a biohazard cleaning at my apartment location — where my tenant had lived there for 4-5 years continuously prior to needing apollo’s services. to begin, i called on a thursday (5/11/23) morning , and apollo seemed very responsive. their employee said that he could leave the office at that moment and look at the apartment to give an estimate for the job. the next day, i received a phone call when they opened asking how extensive i would like this cleaning so that they could email me a quote. i asked for the biohazard cleaning quote for the immediate area initially, instead of the full apartment cleaning that was being up sold. i received my email quote that following monday (5/15/23) morning with a quote of $700 plus tax. i immediately called to set up the cleaning. the employee was out on a job, and would have to call me back in the afternoon. he did follow up and said that the earliest that apollo would be able to do the cleaning would be thursday (5/18/23). the team seemed to really have a handle on the cleaning, with many reinforcements on the job site. and one particular employee was very informative, answered any questions that i had, and explained what they had done. they seemed to have done an adequate job. the team left the apartment around 4:30 pm that day. i went in to the apartment following their departure to begin emptying out the apartment. i removed the previous tenant’s clothes, emptied out the cupboards and refrigerator, etc. leaving only the large furniture items that need removed after acquiring a dumpster the following week. fast forward 36 hours. i re-enter the apartment, and the area that was just cleaned by apollo has MAGGOTS. it is a saturday, and the offices are obviously closed. so, i call the office and leave a general message, since it isn’t what i would deem an “emergency” by anyone else’s standards — yet certainly, an emergency in my eyes. and i impatiently wait for the return phone call monday morning. monday morning (5/22/23), i do, in fact, receive a call from apollo. i ask what i am supposed to expect after a biohazard cleaning, and if this is normal. the employee on the other end of the phone then tells me that my apartment was “atrocious” and that it is why he wanted to quote me for an entire apartment cleaning, instead of just the biohazard area. he also expressed that usually when a biohazard cleaning is done, the area is “fresh,” and of course, the area in my apartment wasn’t. failing to see how an entire apartment cleaning would’ve helped me, considering the only affected area is the area in which apollo cleaned — i asked if it was normal expectations that i was experiencing. the employee then said that he would discuss this with his boss, and get back to me later in the week. when i hadn’t heard from apollo by thursday (5/25/23) afternoon, i emailed at 1:39 pm. my email was just a response to the quote i was initially given, and was one simple question. it read: “wondering if you’ve spoken to your boss about my apartment yet?” a response was given exactly two hours later that said: “i asked, but i will follow up with him and get an answer for you as soon as possible. thank you.” no other contact has been made with me. and the problem has definitely not been taken care of. i have acquired a dumpster, and am about to spend my holiday weekend throwing out the contents of the apartment, and ripping up the flooring. apollo has a satisfaction guaranteed apollo promise: “IF ANY SERVICE THAT WE PROVIDE DOES NOT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS, WE'LL MAKE IT RIGHT." yet, they haven’t made any efforts to even keep the line of communication open with me, let alone fix the problem. and i am 100% unsatisfied with the way things have been handled. in summary, i DO NOT RECOMMEND apollo cleaning and restoration services."

We offer around the clock, 24/7, emergency services for any disaster relating to your home or business.
"Recently changed owners so beware of older reviews!!!! Don came out to do the assessment. I previously had a leak in the bathroom and I let him know which wall was removed. That wall was again removed. When the plumber came out the wrong wall was removed in the bathroom so they could not fix the pipe in that area. When the job was completed I spoke to Brandon who assured me that I would not have to pay for the bathroom and that Don was standing right there as he was speaking to me. I got a bill for the full amount. I called Don who stated "well you told me which wall to remove ". I stated "I'm not the expert " to which he laughed. They do not do the job properly and I will never use them again."

Mold Remendiation and Testing, Water and Smoke Damage
"My wife called Servpro to request assistance and they arrived at the first opportunity which was on a Saturday which we were later informed was "after hours" and billed at a higher rate which was unnecessary. We could have waited until Monday had they communicated things properly. We were billed for 4 set ups although there was only 1, we signed for 15 machines they billed us for 20 which I think they eventually knocked down to 19. They somehow lost our final sign off sheet which my wife signed on their computer system in which the crew member and my wife agreed on 15 machines. We were also billed for labor hours that didn't seem to correspond to the actual time spent on the job which was minimal. Would not recommend these guys in the future. Work was done properly but billing was a mess. I would clarify charges prior to agreeing to any work being done. I paid the bill because I didn't want to waste any more of my time. The total cost to dry my basement and rip out the carpet was $5,085. Could not believe this cost on 600/sf of finished basement particularly when there was no water creep into the dry wall whatsoever. I feel ripped off so buyer beware."

"When i was working towards buying a house. I had hired HomeTeam to inspect the house. I showed up for the inspection and asked questions, 1 of which is why the house had newish looking dehumidifiers in the house. I was told that there was no issue and that its normal for a house of this age to have them. (I found out later that this was very wrong) Now having moved in, ive realized that: 1. there are mice in the house and they have been chewing on various things like the ventilation ducts. 2. The ventilation ducts didn't work, were clearly damaged but just looking at them, and had teeth marks on them. So those needed to be fully replaced. 3. Because the ventilation wasn't working and poorly designed, the house had a very poor system in place to get rid of humidity (which is why the dehumidifiers were installed) 4. One of the sewage lines is VERY damaged and you can smell the leaking sewage from outside, but because the crawl space was "under the house" that entire area was ignored. 5. The water heater "technically worked" but could clearly be listened to and tell that it needed to be immediately replaced, due to age and damage. I am currently up to 20K$ in repairs on things that I knew nothing about or was blatantly told false information about. As a first time home buyer I have learned a lot about what to expect from a Home inspector going forward."

American Mold Remediation is committed to providing first-rate service and quality work for mold removal services in the greater Pittsburgh Area. The American Mold Remediation crew is clean, courteous, efficient, and extremely skilled. We have performed our services in hospitals, nursing homes, commercial, industrial, and residential but we also tackle small assignments too. We are one of the only mold remediation companies in Pittsburgh that does not perform their Mold Testing as it is unethical for any mitigator to do so and a major conflict of interest American Mold Remediation is a certified mold contracting company who follows the protocol of the IICRC-S520 standards. Our standards are much higher than other mitigation companies. We have worked diligently with over 20 different inspectors on different assignments in our years in business to pass clearance tests. We strongly disagree with many other Remediation Contractors in this area because the majority of them offer you discounted rates on their mold testing but this is a conflict of interest and unethical. We strive to be the most ethical company out in the business. We are trying to help educate our customers in the importance of clean air. A remediation contractor should never do testing period as it is very easy to manipulate results. We do every job with the consideration of your health. This is our primary goal to be in business. We have cleaned up after countless mold remediation companies in Pittsburgh who say the mold is gone when in fact it isn't. We have seen people invest their life savings into houses and two months later develop health effects from sick building syndrome. We have the expertise and the know how to solve difficult cases. Our prices are competitive and our quality, ethics and integrity are just as important. We service the greater pittsburgh area

"Michael is the best! We had an AMAZING experience with him as the inspector for our new home. He was so friendly and involved us in the process, answering all of our questions. We learned so much during the inspection appointment. He didn't just point out issues that needed to be addressed immediately, but also showed us some potential problem areas to keep an eye on. Michael stayed available to answer questions that arose after the inspection and was always so quick to respond. The report he provided was so thorough and was invaluable as first-time home buyers. We are so appreciative of Michael's professionalism and expertise, and highly recommend his services!"

Some states require mold removal specialists to be licensed, while others require licensed mold testing companies to create remediation protocols that any contractor can carry out. You can use our state licensing tool to find requirements in your area. In either case, it’s imperative that you hire an experienced professional for mold removal to ensure the safety of your home and your family.
It’s possible to scrub mold off of visible surfaces yourself, but it’s not usually a good idea. Mold is not only a potential health risk, but it’s also difficult to treat in its entirety, especially because it can grow behind walls and in other hidden areas a DIYer might miss. Since mold is a serious and often pervasive issue, you should hire a professional that will remove all of the mold—including any that might be hidden—run industrial air scrubbers to remove airborne particles, and complete mold testing to ensure the underlying problem is solved.
The most effective way to remove mold includes testing affected surfaces and the air for spores, creating a protocol for removal, carrying out the steps within the protocol, running air scrubbers for the recommended amount of time, and then completing a post-remediation round of testing to confirm the issue is solved. Since this work is very involved and there are health risks if done incorrectly, you should always hire an experienced professional to handle mold removal.
The average cost for mold remediation is around $2,200, and most projects fall somewhere between $1,100 and $3,300. Your total will depend on many factors, including the surface area that is affected by mold, the extent of the issue, how much building material your professional needs to replace, whether or not testing is necessary for safety reasons, and existing indoor air quality.
Mold removal will take between one and five days in most cases, but severe mold issues can take several weeks to correct. Your timeline will depend on how much mold there is in your home, where the mold is located, and how much testing and aftercare is required. If you have mold behind your walls or you have an excessive amount of mold that requires removal and running air scrubbers for several days, you could be looking at over a week for the process to be completed.
