When i was working towards buying a house. I had hired HomeTeam to inspect the house. I showed up for the inspection and asked questions, 1 of which is why the house had newish looking dehumidifiers in the house. I was told that there was no issue and that its normal for a house of this age to have them. (I found out later that this was very wrong) Now having moved in, ive realized that: 1. there are mice in the house and they have been chewing on various things like the ventilation ducts. 2. The ventilation ducts didn't work, were clearly damaged but just looking at them, and had teeth marks on them. So those needed to be fully replaced. 3. Because the ventilation wasn't working and poorly designed, the house had a very poor system in place to get rid of humidity (which is why the dehumidifiers were installed) 4. One of the sewage lines is VERY damaged and you can smell the leaking sewage from outside, but because the crawl space was "under the house" that entire area was ignored. 5. The water heater "technically worked" but could clearly be listened to and tell that it needed to be immediately replaced, due to age and damage. I am currently up to 20K$ in repairs on things that I knew nothing about or was blatantly told false information about. As a first time home buyer I have learned a lot about what to expect from a Home inspector going forward.

Response from Hometeam Inspection Service
"Dear [Member Name Removed], We performed a house inspection in September 2014. Your rating of our services 4 days after the job was completed indicated you were completely satisfied with our inspection. As an inspector, we can only report on the condition of the home at the time of inspection. We stand behind our work and would have been happy to address any issues that arose, within a reasonable timeframe. We wish you all the best. Thank you! ~ Ray, Owner of HomeTeam Inspection Service"

I was about to purchase the first home but after his thorough inspection when he discovered serious defects that the owner tried to conceal which would have cost me thousands of dollars to repair I decided not to purchase that home and on the 27th asked him to inspect another. He was very diligent, knowledgeable, reliable, explaining all of his findings and answered any questions.

For the second house, he noticed very tiny cracks in the heating element of the furnace which may necessitate a new furnace and a high radon level, both findings will be significant in negotiating a final sales price.

I recommend his company most highly!!!!!!!

Very good. Attention to detail, taking pictures and using them in the actual report is wonderful and of course very helpful. We used them for 2 homes and would highly recommend them.

This is a husband and wife team and they are very friendly. They are knowledgeable and took their time to explain everything to us. They gave us a great presentation of the house with pictures and they are very professional!
