"We were very happy with their work.  Our regular plumber was out of town and I called A-1 on a Saturday morning.  We had a leak from our bath tub that was visible on the living room ceiling.  Brandon was very responsive and came Monday morning at 9 am to fix it.  We spoke on the phone and I sent him pictures of the bath tub plumbing and living room ceiling.  I recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to call them again."

"Had gurgling from 2 bathroom sinks. Not knowing if this was a concern, I reached out to Angie's List for quotes from plumbers. The first one to respond was ValDel Plumbing. They were able to schedule me in for the next day. Our plumber, Steve, arrived and diagnosed the problem - partially clogged sinks. He corrected the problem per the quote. While working on the sinks, he noted that the drain pipes connected to the p-trap should be modified (he did this at no extra cost). After the job was completed, I had a question about my sump pump. He offered to look at it and gave some recommendations. Overall, I felt that the job was corrected to my satisfaction. The work done by Steve was both personable and professional. If I had future plumbing needs, I would strongly consider ValDel Plumbing."

"As their name go, Extreme plumbing goes to extreme lengths to give you the best service possible. Wayne and Lamar are very courteous, honest and conscientious. These are great guys and i believe with their level of expertise, the sky is the limit for them. They did a project for me that other plumbers were scared to do. And they did a great job at a very reasonable price. I will always use them and recommend them to all. Don't look any further. Give them a call."

"They are excellent. I will always use them. I'm very satisfied with their work. They are clean; they are neat, and they're professional. They make me part of the solution too. I'm an engineer and I like to know what is going on. They don't mind me asking them questions. At least they don't seem to when I ask them what they're doing and why they are doing it. They respond very nicely and they seem very comfortable about it. The prices seem high. They are probably very competitive. I don't know I use them. I'm satisfied with the work and I don't mind paying the price. When I see them soldering plumbing I have an idea of what that should look like when it is done. You can put a picture frame around their plumbing. It's so great. They do a nice job. They are not sloppy with dripping solder around or clumps of solder on it. The responsiveness has always been good. They are responsive, but they try to work with me in the time frame. Depending on my schedule, and their schedule they try to accommodate my time frames. The punctuality when they are early they are on time and when they are on time they are late. They always come about 5- 10 minutes early so they're always on time. They are very professional. When I call up the office to the people who get here. They always call the day before and then they call like an hour before to tell me they're on their way. They are good about that. Everyone I've spoken to seems to be knowledgeable in their field. Everyone seems to have good experience and if they get a challenge they seem to know who to call to get answers. It flows very smoothly. It is a good company."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

During plumbing in Narberth, unexpected expenses frequently arise when contractors discover lead service lines or deteriorated clay sewer laterals that require full excavation. Opening walls in older homes means paying separate contractors to restore original plaster and hardwood floors. You must also account for mandatory permit fees, local utility coordination charges, and required hazardous material abatement if workers uncover asbestos around older heating systems.

Helpful?

In PA, winter freezes and wet spring thaws make active leaks an immediate priority to prevent structural damage. You must also address exposed pipes before November to prevent freezing. Replace failing sewer laterals and lead service lines right away to protect your property and health. Schedule cosmetic fixture upgrades or functional water heater replacements during off-peak seasons when local professionals are less busy.

Helpful?

After finishing plumbing in PA, always obtain and keep the final inspection records to protect your property value. If your project involved supply lines, test your water quality to ensure safety. Request a camera inspection following major drain work to confirm the surrounding aging pipes remain intact. Finally, inspect pipe insulation before the first winter freeze, and update your home records with all new permit numbers.

Helpful?

Signs of substandard past plumbing in Narberth include mismatched pipe materials, such as original cast iron improperly joined to modern plastics. You should look for gurgling drains or sewer odors, which point to improper venting. Basement water stains near floor drains indicate patched sewer backups. Additionally, unpermitted bathroom additions or irregular water meter connections strongly signal that the previous work requires a complete professional overhaul.

Helpful?

When evaluating quotes for plumbing in Narberth, avoid contractors who lack state licensing or fail to include necessary local permits. A vague estimate that ignores the realities of older local homes—like aging cast iron drains or lead service lines—indicates a problem. You should also reject quotes that skip coordination with the local water utility, as this is required for service line work. Always hire a certified specialist for your home.
