"The crew was able to take a vision we had to gut a 50 year old bathroom and create what some friend s describe as spa like. They showed up every day on time, were courteous, respectful to me and my house. They prepped the house to minimize dust and debris. Their work is beyond meticulous! True craftsmanship. Bathroom is posted on their Facebook. Itâ s the gray colored tile walls and white floor. So happy with the project I will be contracting them to do the same for my kitchen. Red Rooster was instrumental in giving input to use and improve the vision and concepts I had. If you want a professional job done from start to finishâ ¦..Red Rooster is the only way to go."

"Very well. Not only installed new 200 amp electric service box, but also added feeder box for new lines for kitchen appliance needs as well as new spotlights for driveway. Also checked electric to lightpoles in pool area and front yard. Additionally, there was an issue with the stove not working the next morning. I called him, and Joe came right up to check. Joe replaced the breaker that eas not working correctly. Based on level of service and quality, I would definitely recommend Espinoza to anyone."

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Adam to have epoxy floors installed in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, he demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for his craft. The floors look absolutely stunning—smooth, glossy, and perfectly even. The transformation in my space is incredible, making it not only more functional but also incredibly stylish. He took the time to explain the process, answer all my questions, and ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. If you're considering epoxy flooring, look no further. Adam’s expertise and dedication to quality are second to none. I highly recommend him for any epoxy flooring needs—you won't be disappointed!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, unfortunately, it is normal for wall and floor tiles to crack, especially when you drop heavy items on tiled floors or place heavy objects on them. Tiles are also more susceptible to cracking when ceramic tiles designed for walls are installed on floors, as these are often not strong enough to handle heavy loads from foot traffic and furniture. Similarly, tiles that are installed incorrectly, lack adequate subflooring, or have other installation problems are prone to cracking. To avoid these problems and the inevitable repair and replacement costs they bring, always hire a professional for tile work and follow best practices for installation.

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.

Mortar and thinset both serve the same purpose—tile adhesion—but have different compositions and use-cases. Thinset is heatproof and presents a wide range of possibilities due to the added polymers. Mortar is typically used for bonding stones and brick. Thinset is rarely used outside, while mortar is rarely used inside.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.

When choosing tiles for a shower floor, avoid highly porous tile materials, like those with a water absorption rating over 7%. Don’t use non-vitreous tiles, or tiles fired at low temperatures, because they will absorb more water. If you use a highly porous tile in the shower, the tiles can wear down faster, meaning they’ll need to be replaced much sooner.
