"I am so glad Mike at County Line Plumbing & Heating assisted me with Sump Pump issues. He responded to my call same day, and was able to complete the needed work quickly. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I have dealt with several plumbers prior to moving to the Warrington area, and always felt like I was being price gouged. Mike's pricing was very reasonable and his work is outstanding. I highly recommend Mike for all your plumbing & Heating needs!"

"My old bathroom needed to be updated. Calco proposed a very reasonable and attractive plan that I accepted. I am so happy with the finished result. My construction crew were Mickey and Josh. I can’t praise them enough. They are so skilled, so nice, so professional. They addressed every unexpected issue that came up. They did everything - demolition, installment, plumbing, electrical work, painting. They came up with novel solutions to make sure every detail was addressed to our satisfaction. Calco is a company that shows up on time, stays on the job until it’s finished, has top-notch contractors. They made sure to protect the surrounding floors and rooms from any dust and dirt. At the end of the day they cleaned up spotlessly. There are many horror stories out there of remodeling gone wrong. With this company, and especially with Mickey and Josh, you can have complete confidence and guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied. A shoutout to Kristy who is the best contact person. TY!!!!!"

"The company replied quickly and gave an estimate as requested. We were quoted for 2 new shut offs and 3-5 replacement shut offs. The plumber only brought 5 fittings, but he gave me the option to run to Home Depot to get more... I was also instructed to replace a hose which wasn?t leaking until after the repair, but it was easily fixed when I suggested to connect the new hose to the pipe rather than to the leaking hose. Sharkbite valves were installed. If I knew they were going to be used, I would have done the work myself. The plumber was proficient with the Sharkbites, I just expected that a pro plumbing company would solder. When the plumber left, there were no leaks, and I didn?t feel like making an issue of the other 2 valves which I wanted installed."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

During plumbing work in Hatfield, you face unexpected expenses if your project requires multiple permit inspections. Opening walls in older properties reveals corroded galvanized pipes or lead solder, requiring immediate remediation. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for repairing the sewer lateral from your house to the municipal main, which adds significant expense if it fails.

Helpful?

Older homes in Hatfield feature outdated galvanized steel pipes or cast iron drain lines, making plumbing projects challenging. Additionally, homes built on concrete slabs make accessing underground lines highly disruptive. You must also confirm if your property connects to a public sewer or relies on a private septic system, as this dictates required permits in PA.

Helpful?

First, confirm whether your property falls within the Borough or the Township, as they enforce different codes. Obtain the correct plumbing permit application and fee schedule from your local office. Verify that your chosen contractor holds active state credentials. Finally, schedule non-emergency work during the spring or fall to avoid peak winter demand in Pennsylvania.

Helpful?

Before starting plumbing work in PA, document your exact water service provider and account number for any necessary shutoffs. Note whether your property connects to a public sewer or a private septic system. Locate your main water shutoff valve and meter. Finally, request your property's permit history from the local municipality to identify unpermitted past work.

Helpful?

A major mistake homeowners make during plumbing upgrades is skipping the required permit process, which creates title issues when selling a home. Many residents also incorrectly assume the municipal authority covers sewer lateral repairs. Finally, failing to insulate pipes in unheated spaces before harsh Hatfield winters leads to preventable burst pipes and severe property damage.
